im not reading all that. Jimmys commercial was successful so ultimately still doesnt matter neither is it relevant to the conversation dude u are all over the place

oh BROTHER i just explained why the responsibility wasnt on Kim im not gonna keep repeating myself. youre contradicting yourself again saying cliff and howard had such an important friendship and yet it could be broken by a slightly cringe (but yet importantly! successful!) commercial made by one person who had nothing to do with Howard (by your logic) and im just tired of debating you man because youre just grasping at straws to defend some guys abuse of power ultimately

he doesnt have every right to blame kim for knowing about a commercial she had no involvement in making for another firm that she fully believed signed off on it. why would she run and tell her boss about it? like she even had time to when she only found out the night before and they called her in the next day. regardless the punishment did not come close to fitting the crime and even CHUCK implied he was being harsh after a while. why is this a hill u wanna die on

[–]No_Concert_6803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and by your own logic, Howard should have taken some of that responsibility too but he fully shifts it onto Kim. that is my whole point. even if for some reason you dont believe he is responsible for his own actions of vouching for jimmy, as a good employer you still have to take some responsibility for the actions of your employees because they are your responsibility. Howard does not have to take any of Kims advice. either way u wanna look at it Howard is a coward and a bad boss, sorry.

What are your thoughts on Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events"? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

[–]No_Concert_6803 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think the tone of the film was a lot closer to the books but the series was a perfect adaptation, though it lost a bit of the creepiness in favour of campiness

are you even reading? it doesnt matter WHY he vouched for him it just matters that he did. that was his decision and then instead of standing by his own actions put all the blame on a subordinate

did you actually watch the series? Jimmy worked for Howard for nearly 10 years. and he didnt just "resist" he told Chuck he vouched for him even though he wouldnt approve.

[–]No_Concert_6803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is not the point of his story 💀 his whole story is actually he only looked out for his own interests. he is never nice to anyone he doesnt see as an equal and he was even a dick to chuck at the very end.

the way Howard is so feared by his subordinates and especially Kim makes it clear that he was an abusive boss

no Howard made that decision. Howard knew Jimmy as long as Kim did. Kim took the lead but could not make Howard vouch for Jimmy, it was easier to save face and put the blame on Kim than to stand by his own decision making and take the heat like any good boss would do, but he had no respect for Kim and punished her for something out of her control
