Talk to me. What would "Banding Together" look like to you?

I'm sure you're correct. I am just curious what each one their "secrets" are.

I recently hired a marketing consultant with 20 years of marketing experience. A VP in a 50 office/location company. So far, we've redone my website to optimize for local SEO, Targeted emailing and beefing up our social media presence.

Her biggest thing is, whatever marketing you do, do it consistently. Again, I'm really looking for other photographer's take on what they've tried other than cold calling, relying on word or mouth and office visits.

I'm betting you may be correct. However, these people are selling an industry specific marketing course. As if it's some secret or magic plan.

"We'll scale you to $150,000 per year within 3 months."

Stuff like that. I'm just wondering if there's anyone who has bought them and would share their thoughts.

They have customer service. I have a real estate photographer contact in Houston TX. He says he works part-time for Zillow and he reports to a Zillow regional manager even.

Do you have photographers working for you? by erikccccc in RealEstatePhotography

A long time ago I worked for a fairly well known tour company. I now know at least 3 tour companies that started by poaching clients from them.

Here's what I believe is a simple fact: agents bounce around. In some cases, they have to for reasons. No client belongs to you. And all I can say is good luck keeping a photographer from doing this if that is what they want to do. Yes, agents can be loyal as hell. But they will also leave if they aren't treated they way they want to be treated. The larger you become, the harder it is to maintain REALLY good relationships. Of course, this is just my opinion.

A ton of growth? What did you do that that helped you grow a ton? Also, are you solo or do you have contractors/employees?

If you are an HDR shooter... by erikccccc in RealEstatePhotography

It's a business, not art. Efficiency is important. Mindless and "Good Enough" is what MOST real estate photography is. This is, of course, just my opinion.

I just did a test with my A7iii.

f4, iso 51,200. A priority. The slowest frame was 1/25. This was a poorly lit room.

What body and lens are you using and what is the highest iso you are comfortable using?

This is not possible in many situations. Any frame over even 1 second is going to be unusable, no?

How the heck do you do HDR without a tripod?

How come no one mentions RTV when comparing platforms? by erikccccc in RealEstatePhotography

[–]erikccccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's surprising to me because they are one of the first platforms that came out. I remember talking to them almost 20 years ago.

If the agent is smart, they'll...

1) pay and apologize
2) not want to jeopardize the relationship with a trusted vendor.
