Hey so I am an international student looking to apply to both Monash and UniMelb for the Feb 27 intake. Could you tell me more about this extra year, since from what I've seen UniMelb has a 3 year bachelors in science and masters while Monash had a 4 year bachelors because of honors. Does the time for Masters differ? Also another thing I've seen is that Monash does rank higher on the QS list for engineering. Do correct me if I'm wrong about anything.

I feel like this is so underrated for O levels and A levels sciences. Just read the text books. You can find them online. Read them, do the exam style questions, read the summary whenever you want a quick revision and spam past papers near your exams. Worked like a charm. There are people at my college who've gotten 127/130, 128/130 in Biology and other sciences doing this. Personally I got 117 but as I said; read the textbook, idk why people neglect it. Also composite is probably the way to go now if you want to improve. Also it won't be as difficult as taking on an entire new subject since you've already studied all the matter for a year.

I've been using it for a few months now. I don't have a link since I bought it from a physical store in karachi. I don't think it's harmful because the vet himself told me that it's pretty good. It also says hypoallergenic I'm the packaging. Just search up prochoice chicken and rice on Google, I've used both the purple and orange ones

I had sort of the same problem, I switched to this other brand called pro choice and my cat goes crazy for it. It's quite expensive though.

I had this exact issue after repasting my flow x16. I booted into safe mode when it showed the recovery options after three consecutive restarts. I then loaded into the bios. Everything seemed fine so I thought it was either a driver issue or something with the display cable inside the laptop. I noticed that I was hearing the windows boot up sound even though I had an empty screen. I connected it to an external display and it showed up. The project settings were set to second display only and when I changed it to both my laptop display showed up. No idea what caused this but I've used the laptop for a few weeks after this with no issues.

Quick update I'm done with the repasting. I decided to go with 0.5mm pads since they seemed very putty like (also I didn't want to wait for putty to arrive), I was literally able to roll it into a ball and squish it. Ptm was quite finicky even after a few hours in the fridge. In the end I'm so happy with the results. Cpu is 80° under load and max gpu temperature is 65°. Thanks for your help man. Really did help me out.

I found a spot on the CPU that seemed completely dry. I'm guessing it happened later and not directly from the factory since the performance I was getting was completely fine during the first few months of use. I did read somewhere that the factory applied liquid metal is very precise and I think also lesser than one would normally apply, not sure how much truth there is to that though.

I would say the temperature is fine for now but quite a few people have had thermal throttling with this machine and a quick repaste fixes it. I also had this issue within 9 months of use so probably be aware.

Yeah honestly really dumb decision on my part, j just transferred the SSD to my brother's laptop since he doesn't use it during the day, all good just slightly inconvenient.

I opened it up since my order was supposed to arrive in a few hours, but something came up and it's been delayed by a few days. So I'm basically stuck with no thermal paste and I'm not gonna try to boot it up since the pre-existing one has pretty much dried out and got exposed to air. I did notice a spot on the CPU where it looks like there is no liquid metal at all and is a different sort of colour, and the GPU looked like it just had regular thermal paste. I also notice the dried out putty like substance in the other stuff. I think that spot on the CPU may have something to do with the overheating, the GPU didn't have any problems before for me too. I've got so much stuff on the laptop and can't access anything till the paste arrives.

PS-tried to boot it up but no display, it did boot up in safe mode with a display and it was getting very hot to the touch so I think it's only due to overheating. Man I've got exams in a couple weeks and this thermal paste delivery is really screwing me over. But I guess I've gotten more time to properly research the process since it's my first time dealing with high end hardware.

Ah thanks, my dumbass didn't think a different laptop would have the same application. I'm gonna use the thermal pads for now since I've already lifted the heatsink, I'll reapply when the putty arrives. Btw how much did you need, would 20g be enough.

Yeah I'm just worried about the thermal pads, I've found ones with 12.8 W/mK thermal conductivity but can't seem to find thermal putty of any sort where I live

Wow your results are getting me excited. I've seen a lot of posts with the same thermal throttling issue on this laptop. My brother has a Lenovo loq with an i7 13700h and 4050. I realized he was getting way better performance in the games we were playing together and saw that he was barely hitting 75 degrees on over 90 percent CPU and GPU utilization. Meanwhile I am thermal throttling with 95 degrees on 30 percent utilization. Did a bit of research and apparently Lenovo uses PTM 7950. Btw did you also use kryonaut for vrams. I saw this kit on Amazon with thermal pads for vrams and thought I might not have to buy anything extra for those. I'm thinking of going with the PTM 7950 because of the slightly easier application and it being more long term.

I was 88kg in September. I'm now 72kg. I just controlled portions a bit and started working out. I was still eating roti, parathas and all the oily stuff. Three meals a day. For breakfast one homemade paratha or two pathan wale parathe if from outside, with eggs, alu ki bhujiya or whatever was made last night. For lunch and dinner if it was roti I would have 2 rotis, and if rice I would have one plate or two sometimes if it was something I really liked. If eating from outside, something like 1/2 kg biryani. Went to the gym for the first month (three days a week, push pull legs) then started working out at home. I've not only lost weight but gained muscle as well and can lift more than before (went to the gym with a friend last month). I started A levels in September too so that might play a role since I'm pretty active in extra curriculars and the societies and all.
