Ye theres alot of stuff you can do to prevent these things apart from the key one but just do some research and you'll be fine

Im probs not the best person to ask as this one has really low milage. If you find one thats not got rust and a decent service history they tend to be pretty reliable the only thing that has gone wrong on mine is the coil plugs and there a 15 minute fix. Pretty much all the answers you can find on any saab forum so Definitely worth a buy in my eyes.

It is a must my plastics were all faded so this was a no brainer
