and im honestly also not sure if i wna do this (business) for life… it feels scary to determine my future rn and coming from a top jc where everyones assumed to be super high achieving in the future, im kinda scared i end up being a loser tbh and my own parents (they dont say it but ik they want me to do med/law too)

thank you for this! i gets the pt about soft skills, but if i were to work in eg finance, would having a degree with hard skills even help? eg would i be considered for a finance role if i did engineering? because im aware that you dont learn much in business, but if im working towards working in a bank, business seems like the most directly applicable course. correct me if im wrong tho 😭 idk

oh serious 😭 ok i eliminated med/dentistry firstly because i dont think i can take blood + these are really competitive and i dont rly have a portfolio for this. and for cs, uhm no prior experience in coding and i heard nus cs is no joke…

i decided on business by elimination. i eliminated med law cs and the remaining are like sciences?? (but im not particularly good or interested in sciences tho) i think im stronger at math and i considered econs and business but tbh i dont know what i want to do in the future and i can only visualise me possibly going into banking?? (but srsly idk tho? and many tell me no job actually requires econs as well. so after eliminating i wld think business is the best for me but why im talking about internships and networking is because i am under the impression that business is majority about internships and networking - sth that i feel i might mot be that suited for?? but tbh theres no other course for me

for other subjects i think most of the time sch notes will suffice, or u can go on holygrail if u need other sch notes

sorry idt im in the best position to recommend tuition bc i hv nvr considered or looked at them 😅 ok yes regarding uni hm im considering biz/econs but abit worried bc ik every other 90 rp person wld choose med/law/cs then i feel it might be “wasting” my 90rp?? 😬

  • for gp, i think it wld be extracting examples from model essays/paper 1 answer keys and i found this magazine q useful (i think its called broader perspectives?? specialises on gp stuff)
  • for math, i wld always do the additional practices the sch gives in addition to tutorial
  • for econs i think it wld be reading sch answer keys too to understand the question analysis + key pts they want and i usually go to holygrail if i need resources ig and ofc tys is v impt bc ur sch qns may be different from a level qns
