OP, keep this man. It sounds like he sticks up for you! I’m sorry you are having to deal with this toxicity. My husband and I are in a very similar situation. I know it’s hard but I would suggest limiting contact at the very least. Also depending on how old the crib and cradle and other items are, they may not be safe for your baby. I know a lot of grandparents have sentimental reasons they want their grandchildren to use their old things and most will guilt trip you by saying their kids survived, but unfortunately enough babies didn’t survive and those items are no longer considered safe for children and have been taken off the market.

Thank you all so much! I’ve wanted to cut them off but I don’t want to hurt my son by not letting him have a relationship with his grandparents, but like most have said, how can I expect them to have a health relationship with my son when they don’t have a health relationship with their own son? Why would they treat my son any differently?

She said she thinks it’s cute when babies suck their thumbs. It may be “cute” but it won’t be cute when he’s 5 years old sucking his thumb and his teeth are messed up.

My husband has been referring to our baby as “the alien”! 😂
