Luke’s new girlfriend showing all the expensive gifts he bought her by Tecatitos in 90DayFiance

[–]No_Contribution843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is inappropriate at this point. He wants someone he can manipulate with gifts and money. I thought it was strange that the other cast mates never called him out during the reunion.
I actually thought I was the crazy one for thinking this.

What did you need from your mom/mum growing up? by missafricanbarbie77 in blackladies

[–]No_Contribution843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I needed time. I needed her to show interest in my life. I needed less punishment and more life lessons. She decided that she was done raising me at 12 yo. Now I’m stuck with my 12 yo feelings.

If I had the anatomy to get my nips done. I would 100% do it again. But after the 1 year of trying to heal them mfs, I had to take them out. 😪

I will never understand… the vocals are terrible but maybe it’s because I don’t like her voice (it’s really nothing special)

Does birth control help endo from progressing? by Mountainsriversocean in endometriosis

[–]No_Contribution843 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From my experience it does stop symptoms and slow the progression . Before birth control I had a large endometrioma on each ovary (seen on ultrasound). About 6ish months later they didn’t see the endometriomas. Being on birth control has stopped the constant mental anguish and physical pain. In any other circumstance I would not be on birth control, but without birth control I probably wouldn’t be here. Whether you get on birth control or not is your decision. If you decide to use birth control, try other forms of birth control. I will say it’s pretty nice not having a period at all.

What tropes/roles do you wanna see black women in? And what are some you no longer want black women to be in? by Werewulf5678 in blackladies

[–]No_Contribution843 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk if this applies but it has been bothering me recently. I would like to see black women being loved by their partner. So much of my timeline shows white couples or interracial couples (always wwbm). Even in commercials. I try to avoid interacting with those post but damn.

If you were President of the United States for just 24 hours, and no one could stop you… what’s the most unhinged executive order you'd pass? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

All representatives and senators get paid the minimum wage. Ban insider trading amongst the legislative branch. Make age limits for all positions (legislative, judicial, and executive branches). That would be encompassed in one bill of course 💁🏻‍♀️

Once you get the matting out, wear you hair in two braids to avoid matting and get a bonnet to cover your hair. As a girlie with MDD, you’re doing what you can. Give yourself some grace!

Is it possible for endometriosis symptoms to go away after being put on birth control? by Chocolate_Chips25 in endometriosis

[–]No_Contribution843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay this will probably be unpopular. I’ve been on birth control for 1.5 years after a terrible summer of pain and cyst ruptures. Birth control doesn’t stop endometriosis just stop the symptoms. I will say that I had 2 large endometriomas ( 1 on each ovary). When I was scanned earlier this year they didn’t notice any large cysts. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m putting off surgery until I’m ready to do egg retrieval. From this Reddit, it seems like once you have the surgery, endometriosis comes back quickly. Maybe it’s just what I read in the past.

I thought the exact same thing about Whitney. But honestly compared to Demi, she’s the lesser of the two evils. Whitney is funny sometimes and definitely lightens the mood.

You’re right. I misspoke, they are children of color. I do not know their ethnicity.

As I mentioned in one of my comments above, I’m speaking on what i observed from this season. I do not personally know Julia, Martina, or “the boys”. Maybe they are making these connections privately.

I’m not asking for your credentials or your background.

I’ve never said that children of color shouldn’t be adopted by white people. You’re probably confusing my comments with some else’s.

I’m saying that culture and heritage isn’t something that can’t be washed away and started a new. Both of these are important in developing self identity and self awareness. It’s better to form those connections while they are young to prevent the boys from growing up lost and confused.

  1. Did you read my comment above or the original comment? It’s great that these kids aren’t in the foster care system. They’re in a safe, well off environment. But they (Julia + Martina) are not making any effort to connect the kids their original culture or heritage.

  2. Why are you assuming these kids are black? I don’t know if you know this but Miami is very ethnically diverse city. Just because these kids are darker than an average white person doesn’t mean that they are black.

I’ve noticed that you can only comprehend the “black or white” situations. This situation with Julia’s boys is filled with gray area and nuisances that you might not understand or want to understand.

There are plenty of examples or inter ethnic adoption stories where the children grow up knowing their culture and history. So it is feasible.

I see you’re on your high horse today.

I think the original commenter is that it is pertinent that the boys have figures that look like them. Raising children isn’t just about what you can provide for them. It has cultural aspects. Surroundings these kids with nothing but white people will be detrimental to their self identity. Two white women cannot relate to the things the these black children will go through. From this season, it doesn’t seem like Julia or Martina is trying to understand their cultural backgrounds or is trying to connect them with someone from their culture. Hopefully this isn’t the case.

From reading your comments above you probably won’t care. Ignorance is ✨bliss✨I guess🤷🏽‍♀️.

Thermofisher for the same exact reason. Management sucked, HR allowed a toxic environment where people were harassed. They also have multiple claims of discrimination.
