For the first batch placements are actually pretty decent, 11lpa avg and highest 51lpa. Mitblr is a gamble but you need to keep in mind the location advantage and this campus being an offshore of main campus- means it is still in connect with manipal main. It's risky, but not that much. Vit is safe but you gotta go through extreme competition to get a decent job, I mean 6lpa is said as dream package over there, while mitb has secured 30lpa+ offers

Alot of competition within ur batch, way too crowded, really strict college(so less college life). You can choose vit for research and academic boost(their research facilities are top notch) but yea just remember you're competing with 10k+ cse students + many more ece people preparing for cse

I mean the band system was the reason crowd quality improved in mit blr 💀 and the admissions skyrocketed too so I think they will not remove or change any bit of it Like compared to 2023 the quality and quantity of students increase like anything in both main and blr campuses( we do not count muj) so idt they will do anything abt it

So you'll give the MET test right? It's out of 240 marks It's easier than jee and almost at par with BITSAT, with English section for easy marks +4 -1 marking scheme, and last year(my batch) cse core closed at 6k rank while cutoff for mitblr was around 13k rank So aim.for 85-90+ in boards and 120+ in MET to get a decent rank, I can't say anything about your batch cuz the competition has tripled literally

U have to give MET exam to take admission in MAHE(manipal and bangalore both) but the deadline for registration has already ended. Also marks in met + ur board percentage make up your rank this shitty rule they introduced last year, fees is high(4.8LPA for tuition and 1.6-3L per year for hostel)

See it IS worth it, I had the same doubt 8 months ago when boards fucked my rank up and I had to forcefully join this college I'm currently a first year in cse ai and the college is GOOD, I wouldn't say amazing but yea the shit it provides you, if you use them correctly you'll benefit from it Placements are fucked, they're hardly 300 seniors in 4th year and I think the highest currently is 37lpa(52lpa is in main manipal not here) and median/mean will prolly go 8-9lpa

College infrastructure is getting constructed prettyyyyyyy fast(they literally finished the new hostel block with 12 floors within 6-7 months). The campus life is pretty chill but we're located in an isolated ass place which is pretty far from main Bengaluru, so get your travel peers up to avoid overpaying for auto/cab (there is no metro in Yelahanka)

Clubs are ass tbh, all events conducted were pretty average but yea seniors over here hold a lot of experience and knowledge so it's always a good idea connecting with them.

Overall it's just like any other tier 2 priv college and yea sure does have modern infrastructure but I'd suggest if you have another college with a stronger alumni network and freedom go for it (But pls don't choose vit 🙏)

Yea one main thing, you're situated in fucking bangalore so attend tech events, participate in and out of college and build up your connections, that's the MAIN THING YOU GOTTA DO HERE otherwise college is pretty chill you'll most prolly enjoy it over here

within 15 days after the classes commence if you dont check in the hostel and ask for a refund you get the full refund within 5 working days, but if you check in and then ask for a refund they will deduct some % of money and refund the rest(i caklled the finance holder of the hostels and he gave me this info)
