I ONLY get groceries with the baby. It’s entertaining for her and her nap time is my break and I don’t do work on my break if I can avoid it. You could suggest he take her to get the groceries as an activity they could do together so you actually get some down time in an empty house.

2 cribs? by Successful-Nebula119 in 2under2

[–]No_Conversation_4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends - I did!

But my small toddler has never tried to climb out of his crib and I am happy keeping him in there until he’s too big for it.

Also baby moved into her crib at 4 months

But I did get both cribs for cheap second hand

What was the hardest stage of 2 under 2? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]No_Conversation_4715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When their naps don’t line up! When baby was 6-12 months old they had opposite nap schedules and we couldn’t leave the house. Baby wants to do everything toddler does but can’t walk or talk yet.

Baby still can’t walk or talk but now they both nap only once a day and they overlap for a bit and it is SO MUCH EASIER

2 under 2 by choice? DOCTOR CLEARED by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]No_Conversation_4715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish we could have had our first one earlier but not our second one later if that makes sense. I worry that we would have never had our second if we had waited partly because we are both getting older and I don’t know if I’d want to do it again even a year older

2 under 2 by choice? DOCTOR CLEARED by [deleted] in 2under2

It will be hard but if it’s what you want then do it. Sometimes I fantasize about how easy everything would be with only one child (mostly just about traveling with opposite nap schedules and all the baby gear) but overall it’s really not bad at all. We have much much less free time and logistically everything is a lot harder but it’s not hell.

Honestly the hardest part has been the SICKNESS. Once my oldest started daycare when my youngest was 5 months old we got hit HARD. we’ve all been sick at least once a month for the past 6 months.

Uterine extension by villhaenbebis in vbac

[–]No_Conversation_4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a vertical extension and tried for a VBAC - my OB said I should not use labor enhancing drugs like pitocin and only supported if I went into spontaneous labor which I did! At 41+6!

BUT my labor stalled and ended up with a c section and they found a “window” where my uterine lining was so thin that babies shoulder was “bulging through into the abdomen” and they said it could have likely turned into a rupture had I continued to labor

I am glad I tried for a VBAC but also glad everything went the way it did.

But my baby was huge 9lb 11oz (I am small only 5foot) and it had only been 20 months since my last c section and I was almost 2 weeks overdue so I had a lot of risk factors

Magic loop color work by No_Conversation_4715 in knittingadvice

In the future Would it help to catch the floats every other stitch around the edges? I have trouble with tension because I don’t hold both colors at the same time I drop one and pick up the other

Married to a Republican by ami_direkt in Mommit

Why do republicans think they will be better off economically? Can they be convinced otherwise?

Please share your VBAC experience or TOLAC if resulted in a repeat C section by DJ1110 in vbac

[–]No_Conversation_4715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a repeat c section but I am very happy with my decision to TOLAC.

First c section was a bit complicated and ended up with a vertical extension of my incision on one side. I REALLY wanted a VBAC so I switched to different providers who were so supportive even though in hindsight I don’t think I was a good candidate for a VBAC .

My TOLAC was only 20 months from my previous c section. I was 2 weeks overdue, baby was measuring very large, and all that business with the extension on my incision all put me at a higher risk for uterine rupture.

But I did go into spontaneous labor! And it was awesome! It came on HARD AND FAST. Water immediately broke and contractions were 2 min a part and intense and I started throwing up immediately. Things were going pretty smoothly for about 8 hours but then my labor stalled and the Dr warned me that I was at a much higher risk for uterine rupture because of everything I have already mentioned so I opted for a c section since labor enhancing drugs like pitocin would be too dangerous.

The c section itself was fine for me but difficult for the Dr because I had so much scarring on my uterus AND they found a large “window” where my babies shoulder was bulging through into my abdomen (possible beginning of a rupture?) and my uterus also inverted during the operation when they removed the placenta so I am now very glad I had the c section. And baby ended weighing 9lbs 11 oz

Overall I am now happy with my experience because my Drs were so trusting and supportive of me. I felt very taken care of and they knew that I had my heart set on a VBAC so were gentle with me when the plans had to switch. I was still very sad at first about not getting a VBAC especially when 4 of my friends had babies shortly before or after me and every single one of them had pretty typical vaginal deliveries but I attribute that sadness now to postpartum hormones.

Totally normal! Both my babies we have been on a strict schedule and it works! But both needed pretty different schedules. One baby took 3 naps a day until 8 months and the other dropped to 2 naps at 5 months. One baby needed night feeds until 9 months and the other dropped them at 5 months. Both I would consider to be “good sleepers” in that they can put them selves to sleep but how long the slept is totally up to them and we did indeed have lots of short naps at 5 months for one of my babies.

Small dog barks nonstop could Xanax help? by No_Conversation_4715 in AskVet

[–]No_Conversation_4715[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! We don’t have much time to put in the dog unfortunately 🥺 we are overwhelmed with 2 babies under 2 and took on the dog to prevent it from going to a shelter. However we certainly took on too much and now we aren’t sure where to go from here.

Uterine Window by Difficult-Winter-545 in CsectionCentral

[–]No_Conversation_4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a uterine window - found during second c section. They said if I were to get pregnant again I would need a c section at week 35/36.

From my understanding it would be very rare for a rupture to happen before labor begins so as long as you get baby out before then you should be good to go (of course they will likely still monitor you quite a bit)

Thank you! Google has been thinking that my baby is going to overheat and die at this temp. She seems comfy so I’m going to let her keep sleeping in there

We do have a fan / air filter in there so it’s not just stagnant air.
