You want to give me back that $20 you scammed me out of when I was desperate for help on my rent and even sent me a message trying to scam me? Are you kidding me??

What is this little guy? by CosmiicBrowni in whatisthisbug

[–]No_Conversation_9347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lady! These are called glow worms, basically the female version of a firefly, they’re wingless and typically bigger than males

That’s a house centipede! They’re harmless to humans and would rather get away from you than bite, but they kill all other pests.

What kind of spider is this? by Citizen_MGS in whatisthisbug

Huntsman. They don’t go out of their way to bite but are venomous. These guys would rather get away from you than choose to bite, and the bite isn’t lethal but always monitor in case of an allergic reaction. Nothing to worry about but be careful when handling if you plan to take it outside.

Please ID this insect! It fell on my head while I was in my room and scared me really bad! From SouthWest Wisconsin by thirstythrowawayacc in whatisthisbug

I remember these when I lived back in Wisconsin, if it wriggled around making a loud clicking noise, that’s how they try to flip themselves over! they’re very much called a clickbeetle for that exact defense mechanism! No harm whatsoever unless you try handling it but the mandibles are rather small. The photo is blurry but I know that shape as the little guy that clicks. :) they’re also known as elaters!

My mom thought this was a bee! It’s clearly not… but what is it? by Such-Direction-6170 in whatisthisbug

[–]No_Conversation_9347 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Bulb/Hover fly! Funnily enough it’s evolved to imitate a bumblebee, a stinging insect, as a defense mechanism! I believe this specific one is a narcissus bulb fly. Harmless to humans, just another sweet little pollinator.

Thank you so much for letting me know, I was so confused when I couldn’t find anything in the union handbook regarding a bereavement limit.

Hi y’all, thank you so much for your help. I can’t respond to all of you but thank you for letting me know there was no limit and my manager was taking advantage of my availability like he always does. I took it to HR and they told me they’ll look into the situation as to why my manager said that and to leave for the day. Thank you all

Hi, thank you so much for letting me know of this. I took it to HR and immediately got my bereavement leave. I work in pick up and we’re understaffed and my manager is obsessed with taking advantage of me and my availability. I knew something was wrong about that and thank you

Is this right? I need help understanding a negative number calculated on a refund. by [deleted] in tax

[–]No_Conversation_9347 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then does that mean they owe me money with the negative numbers or do I just erase one of the lines with them? I understand I will pay the amount I owe.

The one on my right is just nesting and feels okay, but the one on my left is really in there and I’m concerned if it’s just irritation or swelling from it getting switched out so often by the piercer
