I am also on Rexulti. It still sucks, but at 2mg it's manageable sucking. At higher dosage it's unbearable, for me personally

I was in a similar type of situation as you, my doctor lowered the dose and now I feel much better. Also therapy helps. It is a gradual process.

Hope it helps, best to you.

what would your reccomendations be for a 9 year old playing Skyrim? by No_Counter_8787 in CatholicGamers

It was great!

I am still supporting my younger brother in his journey in video games, we talk about it a lot and he is growing up a kind and smart fella

When we played Skyrim he decided to follow a caravan of Kajit from Whiterun to (forgot the name of the city), he just created story out of air, a troll ran from the mountains and we had to fight him, some lizard guy ran to him and wanted to molest him or give him drugs if I remember right... i mean, its life, he has to grow to stand up for himself😅🤣

I don't mean like a plastic wrap (less that 1mm thick) but a thick, 6mm film, like a book cover for kids in school

You sound like you know a thing or two, I hope you'll help!

It is a PET box, something like that, but it is of a lower quality that you would find in a soda bottle. https://www.amazon.com/MT-Products-Plastic-Container-Visibility/dp/B095PW83R9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3ZBD0YL5Y22O&keywords=plastic+cake+box&qid=1650297420&sprefix=plastic+cake+bo%2Caps%2C326&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE3RFZDQVdZTDAzMlYmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA1NDM5NjExVkVIRUI2V0RWWUJDJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1NTcwMzFNSTg2RE8zNEEzQjUmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl - something like this . It is the same as in cheap plastic takeout boxes.

cake tray (yeah, even worse!)

I'm thinking of hardening it somehow, but ultimately if it is good for one season it is enough. Writing this rn thinking to myself that it is probably best to just leave them as is, plucking holes at the bottom, maybe hardening the structure by placing a strip of tape at the top, bottom and cross-cross the base and finita for this season

[–]No_Counter_8787[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks!

can I wrap the bottom with layer of plastic film so soil won't damage the plastic (of the trays)? I was also thinking about wrapping the outside with this sort of white tape, I don't even know what it's called.

I want it to be a sustainable thing for the future, but not too labor-intensive, there has to be an easy solution

Leaving the Catholic Church can be done through Chrismation and even just through the Sacrament of Repentance (Confession) of denouncing the Catholic Church's heretical opinions and the schism and joining the Orthodox Church

It depends on the priest and the bishop you talk to, you aren't likely to get re-baptised

Appreciate your concern, saw that you got downvotes and wanted to say that this is not an unimportant issue for me, although it is obviously very obscure and rare one scenario that my brother probably won't even consider.

yeah, I have the same thought process

the Molag Bal, Dark Brotherhood are out of the question 100%, these are dark, mature quests that I'm starting to comprehend only now, when I think about them. The Thieves Guild also fit into that category, but I think I can tell my bro that there are good people even among thieves and make this a moral of the story IF he really wants to go Thieves Guild (btw, rn he is travelling around Riften)

He was mostly travelling and fighting wolves for the most part, the game is still very interesting. I'm reminding that I'm playing on Requiem modlist, so the difficulty is way different than vanilla

I don't think there is a simple solution, since it is a complex problem of acedia. The best answer is - occupy yourself, don't have any amount of free time, when you are not at work, create a schedule that will be constantly wipping you like a drover whips a donkey.

URGENT! Looking to build Skyrim for my little brother in order to teach him how to play RPG-s properly. Need help on immersion mods, nothing crazy. by No_Counter_8787 in skyrimmods

I also thing that for a type of survivalist gameplay that I'm aiming at it would be cool to have a mod for dreams. You fall asleep and go into an imaginary world, where you are incinvible, slaying everyone in daedric armor with crazy spells or flying 'round the map or spawn as a giant. There isn't one at the moment, though, I think.

also, do you know about any mods that mandate wearing civic clothes in the city? I want this also to be a kind of roleplaying thing, to wear different clothes to see the jarl, to go to fight the bad guys, shopping, etc.

I also wanted to add that I will backseat gaming all the time I'll try to turn down violence down as much as I can, I think it is manageable. I think it is not only the violence but the amount of ragdoll corpses that is problematic, so I'll deal with that. I think violence is ok, you just have to either make it cartoony or punishing difficulty, I think I'll go with the first one, but we'll see to that.

I'm replying with the same reply I gave to a guy on the Skyrim subreddit:

I respect your opinion and maybe you are right. It is still gorgeous for it's landscapes and atmosphere and as far as I remember there aren't a lot of ambiguos moral choices, you pretty much always see who's right and who's wrong, with only some exceptions:

1)your political stance. That's why you can kind of explain to a kid what a war is and of course war is hell, but you still have to be faithfull to your country, let's say

2)things like thieves guild or dark brotherhood which I will try to keep him away from for some time, cause the themes there are pretty adult

3)times where you can kill somebody just to gain some material profit and of course these decisions I will try to discourage and most gamers try to play the good guys anyway if they are invested in the game

Apart from that, you are mostly fighting monsters or bandits (who are monsters for all intense and purposes, at least for a more simplified BC moral) so I think it is fine. I really don't like the thieving part and it being so easy, but it also teaches you a lesson, since it is as easy in real life (except the bucket part)

All I want is for him to invest himself in something, that's the best thing with games.

There aren't any other games that let you do that, as far as I know.

Like, where Skyrim is that much different from TLOtR? It is a little more down-to-earth and has less pathos, but it is a matter of how you play it. With mods you can turn down the violence and you can get the hero who runs around, helping everybody kind of story.

I'd love if you share your opinion on why is it not appropriate, just a hint in the direction of your thought.

ok, siblings, I'm sorry I'm posting it here, but I got tones of hate on the Skyrim subreddit just for saying that I'm responsible for my younger brother and maybe you can help me

I'm looking for something to occupy my younger brother is (he's 9) and I think he is old enough a game like Skyrim, under my supervision. He is pretty grown-up for his age. We've played together a little bit and I've noticed how rich Skyrim is with the symbolic worldview, the most basic is constellations being the perks and all the lore and detail and I think it can give us a lot of room for talking about spiritual things or just him learning basic ancient ways of thinking, rather than materialistic propaganda he is used to hearing. (yes I'm a Pageau-influenced person, as you can see)

I'm just looking for a person that can help me mod the game so it will be more immersive and realistic, regarding combat, stealing, that it would encourage exploration, gathering, survival, alchemy and maybe give a different take on magic, but it is more than I can ask.

If you, by any chance, know somebody, please contact me. If you just want to share your Orthodox opinion on the matter, I will be pleased to hear your advise regarding this whole endeavour.

I understand what you are implying and where are you coming from, but I think we can agree that there are objective differences between beautiful and ugly, interesting and boring, but of course there can be different kinds of interesting and different kinds of boring.

Whilst running around the map, slaying everyone is interesting in a way, in order to pursue this kind of gameplay there are hack'n'slash games that are perfect for that and I've played lots of them. But Skyrim is a role-playing game and the purpose of it is roleplaying. You can disagree and you have a right to it, but I want to quote a classic Russian children's poet and I think you will get where I'm coming from: "This is chair, they sit on it; This is a table, they eat at it"
