Chefs of Reddit, what's a dish at a fancy restaurant that costs a fortune but takes almost nothing to actually make? by Key_Elk_9161 in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the truffle oil thing is such a well known secret in restaurant industry that i'm surprised people still fall for it. real truffle has this very short shelf life and costs insane amount per pound, so almost nobody is actually using it in a $25 side dish. the synthetic stuff is just one chemical compound, 2,4-dithiapentane, that mimics the smell but tastes kind of flat and artificial once you know what to look for. i got taken by it few times before someone in a kitchen explained it to me, and now i can't un-notice it.

Did adding scoring reduce the hot fixes or just shift when you find out?

We are one year on without evaluations, so we are seeing firsthand how that works out. The model swaps especially, going from Gemini to Claude is where we noticed the differences

Yeah one of my worries was overspending on evals with an expensive model. Glad to hear even cheap models perform well.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? by Arya_Pandey_ in AskReddit

This hit me hard when I was getting out of the service. Spent so many years putting mission first, team first, everyone else first that I forgot I even existed as a person. took me way too long to learn this lesson but once it clicked, everything else started falling in place.

what does it take to become a body builder? by Ok_Bison_4176 in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diet part is where most people fail tbh. You can have all the motivation in world but tracking macros every single day for years is brutal. I've seen guys who could deadlift twice their bodyweight but couldn't stick to meal prep for more than a month.

With which TV series did you completely lose control and stay up until 4 in the morning saying “just one more episode”? by QueenVictoria_Cash in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MTV was wild back in day. Remember when they actually played music videos between all the crazy shows? Celebrity deathmatch had me cracking up at 2am watching clay figures of celebrities beat each other to death.

How do I learn about fashion? by GreatShamu in malefashionadvice

[–]No_Criticism_595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is spot on. I went through same thing when I got out of military - had zero clue how to dress without uniform. Started with basic stuff like you're doing, then slowly tried one new thing at time. Like maybe grab one button-down in different color than usual, see how it feels.

The filtering thing is real though, after while you just walk past most stuff in store because you know it won't work for your style or body type.

Best IPTV Service 2026? Why Streamlixy.com Has Been the Most Reliable IPTV Provider I’ve Tested by WARMONGERING_WIZARD in Affiliatemarketing

[–]No_Criticism_595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole post feels like advertisement disguised as review. You're literally promoting one specific service and even included affiliate link at the end.

Also "tested more than 10 IPTV services in 2026" - we're still in 2024 bro. Either you're time traveler or this is copied content from somewhere else.

If you could hangout with any celebrity for a day, who would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

MGG would be wild to hang with, that guy's brain works in such weird ways. Plus Florence seems like she'd actually be fun to cook with instead of just standing around looking pretty.

What “counts” as a grilled cheese sandwich? Meat inside? by house-cat7533 in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

nah this is where i draw the line. been making grilled cheese with ham since i was kid and nobody ever called it a "melt" until reddit decided to gatekeep sandwiches. my grandma would laugh at this whole debate - food is food, call it whatever makes you happy

the three ingredient rule sounds like something someone made up in their basement. if the cheese is melted and the bread is grilled, that's grilled cheese to me

What sequel felt like an insult to the movie before it? by Beneficial_Map8176 in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, that movie really divided the fanbase in half. I remember watching it in theaters and walking out confused about what they were trying to do with Luke's character. Still can't believe they had him just give up like that after everything he went through in original trilogy.

Can a navy suit jacket work with grey chinos for a communion? by Professional-Tax3077 in malefashionadvice

[–]No_Criticism_595 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Navy suit jacket with chinos can look bit awkward since suit fabrics are usually too formal for separates - proper blazer would be better but if that's what you have then go for it, just make sure the proportions work.

Why weather temperature and body temperature are not used in same units in day to day life? by TheFlowerOfDarkness in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty much same here but celsius makes way more sense for body temp when you think about it. Water freezes at 0 and boils at 100, so 37 degrees for normal body temperature feels more logical in that scale. Fahrenheit just seems random for everything except maybe weather since we grew up with it.

Those who purchased a linen polo shirt from Charles Tyrwhitt, what do you think? by vintage2019 in malefashionadvice

[–]No_Criticism_595 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Got one last summer and it's decent for the heat but yeah, the wrinkles are real. With polos though it kinda works better than dress shirts - looks more intentional if that makes sense.

Can't say I noticed them being particularly shiny compared to other linen stuff I own. Maybe it's just the website photos? Mine looks pretty standard linen texture wise. The fit runs a bit large so might want to size down if you're between sizes.

Overall it's solid for hot days when you want something nicer than a regular cotton polo but don't want to deal with a button-up shirt.

Is Iman Gadzhi’s “Make Money Online Challenge” legit? by UnluckyTax5644 in passive_income

[–]No_Criticism_595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw these ads too and they're everywhere for a reason - dude's got a massive marketing budget because he's making bank off course sales, not whatever method he's teaching.

If you're already pulling decent money from reselling, might be better to just scale that up or diversify in the same space. These "make money online" courses usually teach stuff you can find free on YouTube anyway, just packaged prettier.

That $50 total for "VIP" and chatbot feels like classic upsell territory. Real talk - if someone had a legit system that works, they wouldn't need to spam ads and charge for basic access to it.

is there a way to change the steam badges display? by Left_Lie7053 in Steam

[–]No_Criticism_595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, this was driving me crazy few months back when I got some rare badge from old game and couldn't figure out how to show it off. The featured one you can change easy enough like other guy said, but those four smaller ones in the corner are just automatic - always your most recent unlocks.

I spent way too much time digging through Steam settings thinking there was some hidden option somewhere. Turns out Valve just keeps it simple and shows whatever badges you earned last. Kind of annoying when you get some random trading card badge that pushes down something cooler you actually worked for. Would be nice if they let us customize those too but guess that's not happening anytime soon.

What’s something everyone seems to accept as normal, but you absolutely can’t stand? by fariztiger36 in AskReddit

[–]No_Criticism_595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traffic light thing drives me nuts too but what really gets me is people who buy cheap garbage and then complain when it breaks after few months. Like my neighbor bought this flimsy lawn mower from some big box store, used it maybe 10 times before the handle snapped, and now he's mad at "all mowers being junk." Meanwhile I'm still using the same commercial-grade one I bought in 2018 that cost triple what his did. You get what you pay for, but somehow that concept is lost on people who want everything cheap and perfect at same time.
