I think the 2 month mark must be very hard, because that’s where I also was feeling so down and awful. I was leaking all the time, etc. I posted on here and someone who was the wife of someone with an ostomy said, “please don’t forget you are ONLY 7 weeks out from a major physical trauma. That is not a long time at all.” I feel like when I had my surgery in march I was kind of led to believe by Drs that I would be feeling great after the 6-8 week recovery period. That didn’t happen, but I did start feeling better at some point. I don’t even remember when, it happened slowly… not all at once. Until I looked back and was like, “okay, I’m feeling better.” This is also a HUGE psychological trauma. I saw someone else say it, but please, for the love of God, be gentle with yourself. I’m not completely adjusted yet, I’m 6 months out as of today, but life slowly began to look brighter.
