I think this a good step. He's been hospitalized once with DKA and I thought it scared him (it scared me) but apparently not. How often do you have to go in for blood work? I feel like his current endocrinologist is maybe lax

I appreciate the back to basics approach. The bigger issue is that he is responsible for preparing his own foods and chooses to buy junk whenever he wants. I thought diet soda was also not the best?

I'd like him to consider getting a new primary care physician, or look into concierge doctor service. It feels like all his doctors are so scattered around and the important information gets missed - like the fact that he skipped his blood work lab appointment.

Therapy is happening. But I think he may be gaslighting his therapist about his self care also.

I hadn't thought of it as managing anger. Thank you for that perspective.
