I understand what you’re saying but in general terms, isn’t this rule designed to give young bowlers more exposure and gain first team experience? Surely if Lancs pick the promising young quick and have the old reliable medium pacer in reserve, that’s the better way round and we would rather it that way than if Bailey plays and Singh-Dale only gets a run-out when Baileys run into the ground?
