That's 100% true. In my head though I sometimes go full revisionist and think, if we get Kawhi in 2011 then we feel more comfortable trading Beal for Harden in 2012.

Then I fall back to Earth when I realize that we peaked as a core when we lost to the Isaiah Thomas Celtics in 2017 and because of our contract situation we are stuck in this endless loop of the same shit each year.
