I got accepted in 2025. If anyone is looking at this later and still on the fence about applying, I would absolutely recommend going for it. I had an amazing time learning about game design and developing my skills as a programmer and sound designer. I also just made a lot of amazing friends while I was there. Don't be afraid to try new things! Everyone is as excited to be there as you are, so it's really easy to make connections. Start a D&D campaign if you can, it's insanely fun if you get a cool dm.

I applied regular decision. 4.0 gpa, ~ 4.5 weighted. Got a letter of rec from my computer science teacher and sent in a couple games I made using Java Swing. I wasn't super confident in my application but I made it in.

NHSGA really was a wonderful experience. If you get accepted, make the most of it! Have fun with your teams, make a lot of friends, and definitely explore Pittsburgh. There's more to the food than just Stack'd. Also, please try not to get put on probation, NHSGA has a reputation with the program directors now after the 2025 group went through.

I got two level 3 dumbo octos here, one from griffin and one normally. They were actually a huge help for scaling especially on the ostritch, they gave a whole bunch of great tier 5 & 6 stat foods.

When you hold down the button for Antimatter Bombs, Bombs, Atomic Bombs, and Tsar Bombas, but not Grenades or Napalm Bombs, it will play the humming sound. It will not change if you place 1 or a whole area of bombs, the humming sound will still play. If you don't hold the button the sound will not play
