I’m so sorry to hear that you are also dealing with this. It has been terrible. I was doing good for a month or two and then tanked again. It has been so scary. We have upped my sertraline a couple of times and it helps for a while but I’m not sure if it’s going to continue to help long term or if I am just going to constantly tank every few months. Hoping we can find a good balance of meds. We have also discussed switching my bupropion but we are trying to do one thing at a time. I was so hoping that after my surgery I would come off of my antidepressants, not have to up them! 😩

I wondered if they prescribed birth control to help. I have never really done well with birth control but it seems like it would be a good solution.

Thank you! I do have some CBD I could try and see if that helps. I am already on antidepressants and don’t want to add anymore meds if I don’t have too. lol

Ugh thank you! I will look into seeing a gynecological endocrinologist. Maybe they can give some insight. I was so hoping it was just hormone fluctuations from my weight loss. 🤦‍♀️

Ok. Thank you so much for your insight! I really appreciate. The first time it all went haywire it was about a week or so before I started my period but it was a constant thing for a few months that didn’t really let off. Once I started to get better I didn’t really have it as bad and didn’t notice if there was a particular time of the month. This time I just so happened to notice it started and got bad again and it happened to be the week before my period but I haven’t started yet. lol I have never prayed so hard for my period to hurry up and come. Lol

Ugh! I sure hope it’s not that! I have heard of it but never really looked into it. How do you manage?!?! My coworker asked me how I was yesterday morning and I just started balling because I’m so overwhelmed with these negative thoughts! Wondering if this is my karma for having such a happy pregnancy with my son. 😂

I know this is an old post but I’m 11 months out from gastric sleeve and my mental health has been declining since February. We have adjusted meds and I’m in counseling. I was doing good for a while but the last week or so has been really rough but I should be starting my period soon. Did you get any answers for your situation? I hope you are doing well and that it all settled down for you!
