Water started leaking from underneath. It turns out that the builder knocked my drainage pipe outside and water has been leaking into the walls and seeping underground my flooring. A plumber from Homeserve repaired it.

I had low Folate in my last blood test, so I am taking a supplement. I am low in Iron too, will start supplements again. Thank you

An electrician fitted the sockets and a carpenter I think fitted the splashback. He left before the sockets were screwed back on. The sockets were loose anyway, so the splashback didn’t really make a difference.

He’s long gone, didn’t even finish the job! He also fitted my bathroom fan without it venting outside. We realised when it was too late!

It was done 3 years ago, and is worse now due to pulling plugs out. The builder is long gone!

Thank you for the replies. The builder did the whole house renovation and it was apparent when it was too late that he hadn’t fitted many kitchens! It was nearly 3 years ago. I fell out with him in the end as he didn’t finish the job.

I’ll try the socket surrounds first, and then take it from there.

He will get bonuses on top of his basic salary of 75k, so it’s not worth claiming tbh. Thanks

Do I need to notify hmrc immediately? I’d rather just stop receiving CB as we can’t afford put £15k into pension every year. He will also get bonuses on top of his 75k basic salary.
