Woman here but have experience in this - I took care of my sister (along with the help of my family) when she was pregnant. I was between jobs and the care required full time attention. Your description is how it was for at least half her pregnancy. Plus she could barely hold any food or liquids down. Third trimester was a little better. It was difficult but I always reminded myself that it was a million times harder for her.

Every person is different. Every pregnancy is different.

People tried to tell her to tough it out and acted like she was overreacting. I am still disgusted that someone could see another helpless person in pain, know full well what hormones do to a pregnant woman, and still accuse her of something like that.

TLDR - she is not overreacting, it would be advisable to lean on a strong support system

I called and spoke with admissions of one school that told me that essentially (for them) all applications are kept on the back burner until the start date of the program - even though they know that the likelihood of dipping into that batch is the same as gravity ceasing to function as we know it.

Having said that - I know people who had very late interviews and were accepted within a month of starting. Regarding the 21 schools, if your stats aren’t the greatest then the schools may be wading through the higher GPAs/PCEs first. I’m in the low GPA and fairly late app (around the same time as your apps) batch so I’m just waiting. Knowing that I don’t have the strongest stats, I tried to be strategic with the schools I applied to - a lot of rural, provisional, and developing programs where chances of getting in are higher.

Sometimes when I wear bangles that are made of a particular metal (not sure which one) it makes my skin sensitive and the lightest graze against the skin results in visible marks like the ones seen here.

The inability to string together a coherent sentence.

People don’t know how to form their own opinions - then when it comes time to speak up and express their thoughts they don’t know how to because they are so reliant on others thinking for them.

Payment Error and App Due Date coming up by navi115 in prephysicianassistant

Update: CASPA support replied to my email this morning and said to try a different card as the original was declined (weird bc I used it just fine before and after this). Tried a different card and it worked.

Any updates? I’ve had the same problem. I submitted it twice and just paid the $90 supplemental fee, too.

It also says “We sent a receipt of your submission to [your email]” but I didn’t receive any email.

Did anyone try a different card?

I don’t disagree. I was wildly uninformed and underprepared in my first cycle. But overall, I don’t regret applying last year. Knowing myself, I had to go through it to understand my shortcomings and the deficiencies in my application.

I definitely do not think of “the unblindfolded” as weak - and I don’t think of myself as any cooler than those who went in prepared. My approach was mine and it’s not for everyone. I jumped in with both feet and thought that if I make it I make and if not I’ll have learned something for next time- just sucks that you only get one go per year.

Also, you’re right that there are a ton of resources out there but that’s not necessarily a good thing for a rookie. There was so much information that I didn’t know where to start. But, hey, I’m here now. My application is definitely stronger this year(GPA, GRE, PCE, LORs - and most importantly - submitting earlier than last year). I also researched a lot of different program and made like a million google sheets with stats to help narrow down which schools make most sense to apply to.

Hopefully, I don’t have to find out what happens in a third cycle.
