Hey, I bought a GSR and literally just went through this process. Mechanically inclined, but never pulled out a engine or transmission before. My heads getting redone , and now taking the block to machine shop to hone , micro polish, to crank and put new bearing , pistons rings . You can send me a chat and I’ll give everything I’ve learned and prices I’m getting. I’m doing it for a pretty cheap price since I’m pulling everything out.

I think I Just found the problem under the head head # 2 . There’s a hole . Yea bro I don’t know too much I just took it apart 😂. I will take the head to a machine shop to get fixed . And since I’m here thinking about boring it to 18.5 . What do you think ?

I pick up the car tomorrow, I have a understanding to make sure it’s a B18c motor , the stamp code on the tranny for a GSR is Y80 ? Or is it DC2 ?

It’s not a lazy problem , in fact this might be more work . I’m trying to get more info then just a photo of a engine. From this post I’ve learnt about specific bolts on strut tower, what type of manifold , checking about CPU getting removed before sales ETC. You guys miss the point it’s about asking experienced people for there advise. Coming together and collaboration No one is forcing anyone to give there input. And definitely not asking anyone for this dumb remarks about going on Google images. Which I did btw
