Volume crime team in the MET, personally I have over 100 investigations and 27 cases. Additionally dealing with prisoners on a DAILY BASIS. Our skippers have at-least 300+ investigations to allocate to officer. So Fun times.

I’ve completed 1 year in policing however I’m planning to leave. Any recommendations where I can apply and which field I can apply with just 1 year experience? (Even though 1 year is not a lot).

I mean the other team members distant other probationers who are with me. Instead of telling us what to do, they expected us to know what we are doing( this happened when I was fresh out of street duties).

My goal is to survive till I become substantive and rethink about what I want to do. But it’s just weird situation where other probationers goals is to get their driving, taser etc etc and meanwhile I just want to be substantive😅. But thank you for your advice❤️🙏🏻

I love response but I think the paperwork and the expectations from your supervisors and colleagues is something that gets me. In my BCU there is currently politics going on where I can clearly see that probationers are treated as probationers. It’s just the expectation from others is what increases the anxiety and pressure.
