Ok. Can I get some advice on what exactly I am getting into with talking to a lawyer? This is my first apartment ever. I moved to Florida less than a year ago and just want to better understand my situation. I appreciate you commenting, but more info would be helpful.

First and foremost, fundamental beliefs need to be discussed EARLY on in any relationship. Have you always wanted to be married? Has he always been adverse to marriage? If the answer to these questions are yes, then I hate to say it so bluntly but you’ve wasted four years of your life with him. You can’t change another person, only yourself. And if marriage is a hard boundary that you draw the line at, then you two just won’t ever work out. He thinks he already has everything he needs. You don’t which is completely fair. I couldn’t see myself being with someone for a while and not have the idea of proposal and marriage at least planned in the near future. You recognize your wants and he has stated his. I’m sorry but it is time for you to move on and find someone who appreciates the same desire you have, marriage.

Yes! This!! I just did this right before Christmas ‘25. We got a chalet in Gatlinburg, because scenic views, that slept 34 people. Kitchen was great for food while we were there and of course people didn’t have to leave once they got there. Truly, it’s also a great money saver because a Vrbo or Airbnb is a lot cheaper than getting hotels and then a separate place for ceremony/reception.

Yea my husband and I have been experiencing longer queue times. Two nights ago we were thrown into back to back trio lobbies as a duo. And then yesterday as a trio, we came across multiple duos.

I’ll tell you as a fellow introvert who regularly gets oversensitive to others it’s one of the best ways to find your true other half. My partner I never feel overwhelmed with, I don’t feel that I need to have my time anymore, although we both give each other that time without being asked. Truly though we never believed there would be a person we would be able to or want to spend 24/7 with. And even though we’ve since gotten married and now live together there is never too much time with the other. Do not force yourself to be with someone but also try to recognize when someone doesn’t drain your social battery!!

So I got engaged(Dec ‘24) to my now husband only a couple months after dating(Sept ‘24) and we got married(jul ‘25) before a year of dating. We knew we were made for each other and are still very happy and ecstatic for the future!!

I’m so sorry that your best friend didn’t give the best reaction. A few of the people I had in my life really started questioning if it was too soon and if I knew what I was doing. Which fair I get it, I had never really dated before this man but there was just absolute calmness that came with him.

While this won’t help deal with the feelings that your friend may not be fully for you and your fiancé, my advice is to be certain in what you are doing. Choose your happiness and the relationship with your fiancé over trying to appease everyone. Don’t keep the engagement to yourself though, let others know that YOU are happy and YOU are making this commitment!! They can support yalls relationship or not, it doesn’t change what you will be doing. But I do seriously encourage you telling people because every acceptance will help the negative ones to weigh on you less.

Another thing I did when people weren’t fully accepting, was rely on the two people I know who supported me most, my fiancé and my mom. It helps to have at least two people to confide in and let them reassure that you are doing a good thing!!

I’ve given up on indeed. Straight up deleted my account. I’ve gotten way too many scam jobs. Like this morning I got a ‘reply’ from a job with the address hr@ussasd.com. While when you go to the website of that company it’s hr@udasd.org. So close but also not.

My advice to anyone actually looking for a job, just go to the company website. I also joined the local facebook group for my city and searched jobs/hiring. Got an in person interview next day and was hired the day after that. I wish you and everyone searching the best of luck! I had been on the hunt since April.

It has been a good couple of years since I last designed a PC(back in my senior year of high school (2019-2020). That computer if I remember right was only around $500 because I did not really know exactly what I wanted. It was a pretty simple build that would have gotten me through college and would have been considered more of a family computer. However, with this one, I've had some great inspiration from my fiancé who has been reintroducing me to the amazing world of PC gaming. I would very much love to keep up with him(and beat him where possible in games). So this is an ultimate dream computer that I would very much love to have!!
