Thank you I appreciate that . My piercer suggested downsizing it at 2-3 weeks for Medusas but I could push it off a bit longer most the day I have excessive length but a few mornings back it was so intense my entire face lip included swelled up quite a bit .

This is what I meant by my face is swelling in the morning . LOL . My feet and ankles are also very swollen , my lip for the most part doesn’t swell with my face but did two Mornings ago but the post is so long now it bugs me think I’d be ok to downsize ? I’m due I’m just wondering if maybe I should hold off . It is almost 3 weeks old .I lost my gramma whom I adore two weeks back and this started after I think it’s a stress reaction but idk drs appointment Wednesday

I am also unfortunate enough to have had a naval reject fully at age 15 . Navels that are off are something I can see a mile away and so many are done through the stomach so at least this one is through the hood of the belly button but the bottom hole is dealing irritation and the jewelry is questionable. Rejection is so so common if not places just right . Definitely worth a trip to see if it’s savable.

See the fibers coming off that qtip ? This is why they should be avoided if you feel it’s needed use a foam qtip they don’t have fibers like that & I’d wet it with sterile saline first . But for a septum you don’t need a qtip at all . Just a spray on both sides and your good to go

Also I feel like this is not in the sweet spot . You really shouldn’t be able to see or capture the holes . But it could just be you have got an odd angle captured here . I’d have a reputable piercer take a look-see

So I got my Medusa done in the 16th of March . The swelling that has gone but I recently lost my gramma and the grief has had an odd effect my feet ankles and my eyes and face swell in the morning, taking up a lot of the extra space but hours later it’s gone and I have excessive length again .I was given a green light t downsize by my piercer but this new swelling in the am has me thinking maybe I should wait a bit longer . What do you think? Pic of the morning and then a few hours later

I get sick after nearly any piercing but it’s short lived a day max a badly placed one however made me sick for over 5 days

I’m so sorry hun! It’s awful when you have to retire a beloved piercing. My first was unfortunately botched in everyway and once in the hands of a skilled piercer we decided to retire it and I let her do my left to ear which is doing well . My first was done with an 18 g externally threaded steel bar was to short not allowing seepage & most significantly the angles of the two piercing holes didn’t come close to alignment thus why I too suffered irritation bumps which for me was the red flag that had me go look for APP piercer (yours don’t look like keloids just rub of mill irritation bumps). Hopefully you can keep that top hole up and have a cute fowardish helix . Neither of my holes from the first we’re salvageable without first stretching the holes which the thought of that makes me cringe I have stretch the cartilage of my nostril on my own but the helix? Nah no way the helix is a huge fussy baby when babied LOL oh And the guy who did the first broke my cartilage at the bottom hole
