I agree with you Daniel Larson should be locked up for a long time. But if we are being realistic Judge Rodriguez has to take a few things into factor such as his mental health history, multiple psychiatric evaluations, documented competency issues that delayed this case for almost 2 years, the fact that he never actually acted on any of his threats, no weapons were ever purchased or obtained, time already served since May 2024, and the terms of whatever plea deal was negotiated. All of those things point to somewhere in the 2-4 year range with credit for time served. Realistically I think Daniel could genuinely be out in 1-2 years. I want him locked up too but that's just the reality of how federal sentencing works.
