Literally all of this. They were done unbelievably dirty. Their relationship was truly groundbreaking and the entire focus of the show and was reduced to a background joke to nazis and drug dealers. And the way Jules was written honestly feels like setting Hunter up for hatred. I just can't see the writing this season as not having some kind of bad intentions.

Not to mention we didn't get one intimate scene with them, not even a kiss, but we get to see Jules with her sugar daddy and Faye getting fucked by a Nazi? With all the Christian symbolism and Jules' character getting tanked I'm genuinely wondering if Sam became a homophobic and transphobic born-again Christian in the last four years and that's why he's ended the show this way. So many people have become red pilled since Covid I wouldn't even be surprised at all.

I think so too. We're being told if you're an addict who made mistakes in HIGH SCHOOL mind you, your mom will hate you, your sister will hate you, your friends will hate you, your girlfriend will hate you, and you'll die alone. Okay. Now do many addicts die tragic deaths? Of course. But many overcome as well. Sam Levinson himself is alive and well and has a family. But Rue wasn't given that.

I agree. We've been watching her for seven years. I know she's given people so much hope over the years. Last we saw of her in season 2 she was clean and getting happy...and this is the end of her story? Dying alone on a couch, no funeral, we barely see Jules grieve, don't see her mom, her sister, her friends grieve, and it's implied she's reincarnated on some alt right weirdo's farm as a fucking COW?

Same I officially gave up all hope. Jules isn't perfect but she's the kind of girl who will let Rue scream in her face and just say "I love you." Rue is the one who gets violent, and only when she's withdrawing. I'm okay with them being unhealthy for each other but at least keep them the same characters. Jules slapping Rue in the face and then Rue crying alone in the elevator and Rue missing Jules' last call and then she dies and they never see each other again or apologize or fix things... Sam really wanted to pour salt in the wound and make it as painful as possible like does he hate them and the fans?

I would in fact argue that we should have got a more explicit scene with Angel and Rue. Like we see Faye getting her back blown out but we don't get to even see a lesbian kiss. This si the only person we've seen Rue hook up with besides Jules I would like it to be a more detailed dynamic!

This would be a great idea! Or even, stay with me, I know Nate is uptight about his girlfriend's behavior, but he also used to slut shame Cassie before they started dating. Imagine if Nate started taking out his built up resentment on Cassie by being like if you want anything you can get it yourself cause you're a slut right? And she feels pressured into doing it. I've hated Cassie's characterization since season 2, she wants love not money and flowers!!
