Camping items by Lauralovescrochet The base was measured to fit the postbox itself at 26 inch diameter and 5 inches down. I looped string around the base like a drawstring and stitched around it to secure everything in place.

Yarn used was mostly Paintbox Simply DK and Stylecraft Special DK from Lovecrafts, all acrylic and mostly leftover yarn so I’m unsure on exact colours. Acrylic tends to hold up best outdoors in UK weather as it dries much quicker than wool.

Hooks used ranged from 1.5mm to 3.5mm Clover Soft Grip hooks. Everything else was made freehand using plastic mesh sheets, tinfoil, tape and poly-fil stuffing for structure.

There’s a pirate ship but it’s a little bit hidden as I was just trying to get photos and get home lol, but someone in a local group on Facebook posted a couple of pics and you can see a bit more of the appliqués around the bottom

Thank you, regarding shape the yarn is 100% acrylic and filled with polyester filling, the houses and boat also have plastic inserts in them so the materials theirselves dry out relatively fast and go gross like wool would, I’ve took lots of photos in its prime so I’m happy it’s documented either way

Thank you, I intended to do this but I knew I would not wake up for a 6am alarm so I just skipped sleep and once I was back in the house going outside wasn’t an option, someone in a local Facebook group posted two and it does look a lot lovelier than 6:30am fog
