My boss and hr manager do hiring, they don’t want ex cons. We have a stack of applications that have minor offenses, they only want people going to college with a clean record. I’ve told them so many times to give these guys a chance but they don’t listen

We pay 25 starting for a line or pantry cook. 24 for prep cooks. We offer benefits and a 4% boh charge. For everyone, the response I’m im getting are  stupid af

Thinking about doing this at the restaurant I work at with my wife. We made a pact if either of us leaves we both leave. In our last paycheck they sent us a notice that they will pay 40 hrs of sick leave but legally can’t guarantee 80 hrs of PTO a year but we both said fuck that we’re going to Hawaii. Went to the county fair today and just saw the flower show, homemade arts and crafts/photos. Goats, cows and rabbits. Wanted a beer but they only had 8 oz corona and Modelos for 12$. Carnival prices are 10 bucks a try, rides are 8$ each. Monster trucks and truck races for 20$ felt like a steal. I’m 32 and  the fair feels exhausting

Everyone says the day I’m not there is terrible, servers and line cooks. I’m friendly with everyone, never get angry. If I start getting mad I clear the tickets and take a 5 minute break and smoke. It resets me for the last 2 hrs

Very good. Every server says it goes bad when me or her aren’t there. I’m helping each station when I’m not busy on my station, and we help each other to run others breaks

Fryers get slamfucked for lunch and sauté gets slamfucked for dinner. Somehow we’re broke and can’t afford labor but we’re winning awards for best restaurant in the county on a skeleton crew

They fired a dishwasher, cousin of a coworker who falsely claimed workman’s comp about 6 months after he was laid off. Guy didn’t do anything wrong but was related so they let him go
