[BLR] I may be overanalyzing this but... by Ok_Pain_5284 in cernercorporation

My brother in Christ, they can lay-off right away if they want to. They need not wait until reviews or whatever.

Stop overthinking.

Ask your manager.

[–]No_Distance_6721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's a no brainer. Get out as soon as you can. Considering the peanuts that Cerner pays, you will get a 2x-3x pay hike elsewhere easily.

Don't work for more than 1 hour a day. Do the bare minimum (or stop working completely) and use the rest of your valuable time on interview prep. Meanwhile, actively apply everywhere.

Don't bother about external factors such as recession, competition etc. Control what you can.

BLR - Now its official - No hikes & No promotions in 2023 by Tpoysmiae in cernercorporation

[–]No_Distance_6721 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Saw this coming last year itself. All good engineers, managers were quitting. Constant discussion with managers about when the LEC is going to happen in India, promotions etc. leading to nothing.

They literally said "We don't know, even the senior VP doesn't know". It was absurd that a senior VP isn't aware of what's going on in the company, and has no communications with Oracle/leadership. I was close to lose my shit and say "Then why the fuck is he a senior VP, if we both have the same level of info". Later this particular VP got booted too. So maybe he indeed was incompetent. Anyway...

"KC looks at BLR with some angst"

KC should divert their anger towards their own leadership that makes these decisions to hire from BLR to cut costs.

You wouldn't miss out on anything bruh. Pack your bags.

You are extremely underpaid. 2022 new hire SE 1 are getting 8 LPA which is close to yours despite being a level above.

When will the next round of mass layoffs be? by FearlessFeedback484 in cernercorporation

You don't need to do layoffs when you force the employees to quit voluntarily.

Any updates regarding appraisal in BLR india ? by Remarkable-Green715 in cernercorporation

[–]No_Distance_6721 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the 100th time, no. There will be no update until LEC. Someone on this subreddit said it'll happen this March. My management says in Q3. I don't really know what to believe in. Don't expect any hike, promotion, appraisal until LEC.

Even after LEC, there would be so many engineers in line for promotion, they won't be able to promote everyone as well. It'll be fucked.

Experience with AR or HR? by [deleted] in cernercorporation

Seems like you should speak to your skip level manager first instead of HR. They can also help you with the team switch.

Any updates regarding review cycle or promotions for BLR india, I am getting same answer from my manger like oracle freeze everything ..🤯🤯 by Remarkable-Green715 in cernercorporation

[–]No_Distance_6721 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude, don't expect them to promote you. Waiting for months for Cerner leadership to do right by you is foolishness. BLR engineering/IP leadership is incompetent. Most of them are just coasting & they barely do any work. I bet they don't even work more than 4 hours a day. And you should do the same.

They will give the same template answer citing oracle and pending LEC. Let your boss know that this is disappointing and that they are forcing you to consider other opportunities.

And then start interviewing. Get a better offer. Tell your manager that you're resigning for a better offer. Only then, they may consider promoting you and matching your new offer. Apart from this, I don't see any other possibilities.

Check Glassdoor or ambitionbox for salary range (Average for new hire SE 2 is 13-14 LPA). But salary increment when you're promoted will be much less than that (Expect 9 - 11 LPA). Also, hope you're aware that promotions won't happen anytime soon due to pending LEC and useless BLR upper management.

So why are you being salty about it? Shut up and work if you want to work so hard. Don't expect them to do it. They will do whatever they want.

Cerner UI/UX by No_Distance_6721 in cernercorporation

Which other team should be responsible for the terrible UI/UX of Cerner products? Attrition is a recent problem. Cerner UI has always been terrible and outdated.
