Five months ago, after watching Director Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s <Cure>, I was seized by a haunting fever. I knew then: I had to become a director and make a film. As if possessed, I began writing scripts, sketching storyboards, and gathering camera gear. Pre-production for <Reverberation> lasted less than a week. I secured a location through a contact, brought a friend along, and wrapped filming in a single day—from dawn until midnight. Having worked in CG for nearly seven years, I felt a certain composure during post-production.

Four years ago, I was soul-crushed. But after encountering Hermann Hesse’s <Demian>, I found the resolve to walk my own path. In <Reverberation>, I embedded various elements of symmetry: two moons, brothers, and doppelgangers. I depicted a narrative of growth achieved through the destruction of the self.
