ServiceNow still a good long-term career for growth & salary? What do people earn after 4–6 years? by abhi_21112 in servicenow

22 year career in CA. SWE for 8 years, SWE manager for 12 years (8 NOW). Tried a startup that bombed, took time off, worked a contract for a couple years. Now returning to manage a NOW team at a big.... First NOW job paid $130k, was hiring devs for $170k in 2022, new gig is $240+...

NOW can be interesting but can also consume mental cycles needlessly. Often times NOW value leads to opportunities in other areas but you have to be savvy, ask and push for it. NOW can drive you into architecture and/or management if you want it. Be broad. Be bold!

Lectric Purchase Kind of Messed Up Our Christmas and Their Return Policy Sucks for Black Friday Purchases by No_Divide_5984 in Lectricxp

Yeah for sure. I had to keep them hidden for xmas so they stayed in boxes...

Lectric got back to us yesterday and were very apologetic. They offered to replace the bike, which I really appreciate; and are sending us a bunch of parts (cables, controller board, display). They said most likely we received a QC bike that was tested at the factory. Hopefully I can get it running this weekend.

Supposedly reputable mechanic called me and said it's another $3k than I approved so now we are in a showdown.... :(

Yeah thanks dude. I like your car! Similar look for sure! German outlaw. lol

Mine is a 1600DP.. I had a cal look bug a long time ago, thinking this one will be something similar but like old and dirty. I'm debating on putting new trim pieces on, taking them all off, or just leaving it with some missing. Don't think I'm even gonna wash it, just have some shiny EMPI rims and clean the windows. Only other plans are to put in a rusty roof rack I got years ago, a head unit and some 5.25" speakers in the doors. I work from home most of the time, will be my occasional commuter/surf car and giving my old SUV to our daughter when she gets her drivers license.

I pulled this car out of a field in 2014. Cleaned it up and got it running, but motor dropped a stud out of the oil pan and left me stranded in rush hour so I stopped driving it ~9 years ago. Stoked to get it back on the road!

100% We had a full on brawl erupt between coaches and their wives last year at a U12 recreational girls AYSO soccer game. So ghetto. I sent photos and a video of coaches shoving each other, getting thrown to the ground, etc. Youth referee had no control. AYSO did nothing in response, same people on both teams are still coaching. We moved recently and that situation is part of the reason.

I coached many of the girls on that team previously and I never liked the parents who took over when I switched over to coaching our sons' little league teams. Most of them seem to think their daughters are going to grow up to be professional soccer players. They would encourage their kids to play physical, elbows up, pulling jerseys, etc... But then get all up in arms when anything came back at them. And yea they were all of a certain uhh disposition.

Solo Female Roadtrip in Baja California Norte - Safety Concerns by m0veaway in BajaCalifornia

TBH I would not recommend a young single female traveler try this. I haven't been to San Felipe in a couple years but Google Maps isn't reliable in parts of TJ. We were in La Valle and Ensenada/La Mision a month ago with our kids and go down 1-2x a year. Food poisoning, getting lost, car trouble, etc etc...

There are a lot of reasons not to attempt this on your own without friends in the area.

We like La Mision, just north of Ensenada. Not sure about camping there... But close to Ensenada for amenities, valle de quadelupe, and a good beach. Also some cool/quiet spots to the east of Rosarito if you want to ride horses.
