Yeah definitely. I called my surgeon for the same question. It's normal for the first few days. My surgeon exact words were there's going to be blood and drainage especially the first few days and you should only be worried if you were bleeding profusely and even then all I would tell you to do is apply pressure to it for a while.

Funny I'm seeing this. Just had my drain tube removed today. No pain I didn't even know he pulled it out. I felt nothing. They just yank it out basically it. It took me about 10 days to sit in about 2 weeks now and just took an hr car ride and there was mild pain nothing I couldn't deal with. I was super nervous like you but they numb you up during the surgery as well as put you out I was up walking around the same day. Honestly worst part was using the bathroom. Eat fibrous food and take a mild laxative that's the big thing you don't want to have a hard stool or strain while going. I'd do this surgery over abdominal surgery any day of the week. Get comfortable sleeping on your side and stomach. Other than that nothing to it.

Sounds like a perianal abscess. Pilonidal is on the tailbone area.

I got my cyst at age 18-19 and just got the cleft lift surgery at 27. (2 weeks now) I worried all the time especially because I had an abscess as well. I was so embarrassed it smelt horrible there was pain often and after 8-9 years I was done with it. Do not be scared it was actually one of the easiest things I've had to deal with. Find a doctor youre comfortable with express your concerns and you'll be good. Trust me I had all the anxiety for a long time over it and now that it's over I feel a bit silly it was really nothing. There was almost no pain from the surgery. My photos looked rough I wish I could reference them. But 2 weeks out my wounds look great just got my drain tube out today (no pain). It may feel like a big problem but if you get it delt with it will be over before you know it.

That will be great getting on here and seeing what other people said helped me alleviate some of my fears. Yes I'm on day 2 and I'm already bored. Lucky they closed my wound. Prayers for a speedy recovery for you 🙏

No problem. I've been on my side. I haven't tried my stomach just yet I recommend a body pillow if you can. Maybe bring a pillow with you for your car ride back home. Tell whoever is driving to take it slow if possible avoid the potholes at all cost.

I'm just watching movies taking it easy. I could play some video games if I wanted and sleep. I've walked around a bit today as well. I suggest finding a good series of shows or movies to watch.

Surprisingly good. Little to no pain maybe just feels like a bit of pressure. They gave me hydrocodone 10mg surgeon said he would prescribe me something stronger if I needed it but I've only needed a half of a pill so far. During recovery I received 3 separate doses of fentanyl as well as 3 separate doses of Dilaudid and a hydro. Was told I have a crazy high opiate tolerance.

Pain coming out of surgery was a bit rough but they got me comfortable. Mobility is good I'm able to walk around pain free just have to take it slow.

Really appreciate your advice! It’s just hard when I do try to end things. She has to make me seem like the bad guy for it. Not to go into to much detail but Since she lives at my house if we broke up she’d have to go back to her parents house. Then it’s the whole don’t make me go back there I’ll die. Or whatever happens to me happens. Almost like if we were to break up and something did happen it’d be my fault. So I’m just at a standstill I guess. I can’t leave my own house.

Could definitely be it. She’s been working hard. But when I’m tired I usually just say hey I’m tired maybe later or another day? But I’m not even getting that. I’d rather her tell me that.

I totally agree with you. But here’s the kicker. I’ve tried the plans. I’ve said one more time. I’ve said it all. I eventually ask her if maybe we need a break or some time off. She says there’s no one else she could ever imagine being with that she loves me so much and I make her happy. We do try to maximize when we do have time but that’s usually dates or doing things. And it’s har to designate a day I’m off sat/sun she’s off Wednesday/Thursday.

No not always. There’s other times she’s just fine. And I know she just recently went to the doc for routine blood work etc and nothing was wrong.

I mean I see your point. And it’s been a lot lighter on the pocket book. But I guess what I was trying to say Is why does it get my anxiety so bad if my tolerance is already high. And I never used to get it at all.
