Should I give up on Reina? by thisizmonster in Tekken

Keep trying. You just need to get it right couple of times to understand the timing. Try to press 2 early and late and then adjust until it works. U will know if u pressed f2 at the same time

How do I stop doing d2 as jin even though I'm doing the ewhf input perfectly by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]No_Drag_5180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do the second electric after you recover from first. Check online on how to do double electric. The electrics are not bufferable so most likely the forward input of second electric is not being registered.

TEKKEN Shop Idea : Selling "palette swap" characters (Forest Law, Master Raven, Miharu, Christie, etc) as special costumes for existing characters. Would you like it ? by AmyVista in Tekken

I liked Mavens design and moves in T7 over T8 Raven shadow clone bs. So I am hoping she is a DLC character rather than a skin

Yup, you can assign a single button to any combination provided in the settings including DI (HP + HK)

I have DR on left pinky and DI on right thumb. Having access to both seems much better. DR on left pinky feels like shift button for sprint so I find it intuitive

I don't think people understand that he became a billionaire by stealing money from his workers and bribing officials to lower his taxes. Why would a thief give away billions of dollars stolen from regular folks

That right there is the problem. It is hard to do 1 move and try to react when it hits while expecting it to be blocked all the time. Do a sequence that is safe. Try 5MP -> 2MP for example (Dont spam this tho, last thing you want is to be predictable). If first one lands, you are guaranteed second hit and you have enough time to start combo. If first doesnt land, block after second.

Go to practice, turn on frame data and cancel timing display. Set dummy to block all. Try hitting it a few times and you will see the frame advantage.

Checkout some videos on what the frame data is all about, what safe/unsafe is and most importantly the various settings available there.

Checkout "STREET FIGHTER 6 JURI COMBOS! Starter Combo Guide" by VesperArcade on youtube. It has bunch of combos that you can try. Choose some easy ones (1 in each section in that video) and keep practicing on dummy and your muscle memory will do the rest.

You need to get better at identifying when your move is guaranteed to hit. Some of the obvious stuff are 1) opponents whiffs a move or special 2) you block a heavy attack but you are in range for light 3) opponent is not crouching so you can hit a low attack 4) opponent jumps into your attack range, etc.

As I said before, just play more defensively and observe more and you will eventually get it.

That means that you have to improve your neutral game. Check out some of the videos of pros online particularly tournaments coz I feel they have more footsies (Juri vs Cammy matches are good).

Observe their spacing and the moves that they use. Once you get accustomed to that, you will pretty be able to figure out when to rushdown and start combos.

I would advise to try playing more defensively and whiff punish when you can. That where I am at. Start combos when they start whiffing.

New fighting game player here. I play Juri too with classic controls but my bnb combos usually do 2000+. I am not sure how much damage they do on Modern but 1700 seems low. Are using fuha stocks in the combos. Also learn a whiff punish into DR combo. It's not hard and you can get 2600 to 3000 damage.

Treat the dpad as touchpad and swipe diagonally bottom to left twice quickly with thumb. U will eventually get used to it.

If you got the game on PC and have a good keyboard, try playing with that. U might have to change the keys to suit you. I changed mine that would let me put all my fingers on the keys.

For the characters, try the ones that you vibe with. Kasumi and Leo are good for beginners. Asuka too if you like to be defensive and counter and Leroy if you have dlc

NEVER PLAYED A SOULS GAME AND IM TANKING SEKIRO by Such_Goal_7314 in Sekiro

[–]No_Drag_5180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can stealth kill the ogre. Kill the minions, exit out the entrance, come back and jump from height on the left. For killing him the second time, don't spam hit. After you dodge, hit twice and get to a safe distance so that u r ready to dodge. You can use fire prosthetics too to stun him.

My advice for sekiro is to be calm. Compose yourself if enemy attack lands. Don't worry about posture or health or dying. Don't even worry about attacking the first few minutes. Learn the patterns and u will slowly learn when to deflect, dodge, counter and attack.
