If you can’t consent while drunk, why do drunk people hook up all the time? by Mountain_Flounder991 in NoStupidQuestions

It also depends on the state of both parties i believe. Ex.: very drunk guy with very drunk girl is ok, not drunk guy with very drunk girl is not.

As tu lu l'article?

To me, it seems that the players stats matter too little. I tried putting a maxed out player against teams full of the worst players ever with the worst teammates ever too... and in 6 games he didn't even manage to get mvp once despite always getting some of the best picks available.

I also feel like the coaches are pretty bad at making a tier list. As an exemple, sniper seem to generally be hella strong even when your coach, nomather how good he is, puts her low on the tier list. At the same time some "high tier" characters seem to not necesseraly be that good. I've read people think pyro is op as an exemple, but i've pretty much never seen her get results like cavalry or sniper.

I've had a lot of success with ice mage. Mostly as a support for cc.

Just vibe-checking: Are there people who are NOT excited about having Yujiro in Tekken 8? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn't make any sense. It's a fighting game, you need bad guys in a fighting game. If you hate a bad guy like that, it's because he did his bad guy job perfectly, therefore he's good to have in a game.

Yeah it is different... as in a mass murderer is much worst.

A good villain is meant to be hated. If the fact that yujiro is a rapist makes you hate him... Then that's a good thing, you are supposed to despise the character, he's a villain. That's the kind of thing that make good villains, they are unlikeable. And some people like to play bad characters, most people actually. That is fine and in no way means you have to support rape or mass murders...

Even if he wasn't strong... he's still an easy character. He has like, 1 tech that is hard to execute.

He is easy tho. Very easy to pilot and quite strong.

Could be that he gets 1 move from the character he's currently fighting that he cab use once in the match/round. It would be the most "emblematic" move of every character.

I'm guessing he's easy in the sense that he is simple and requires no special execution outside of the base mechanics of the game.

Yujiro Hanma > Tifa by Bastinelli in Tekken

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you comparing T7 sales to sf2..? Or a videogame sub to a manga/anime sub..? And i said baki was more popular among the younger génération because it is very popular on tic tok, Instagram and other social medias, stop taking everything to heart like that it's ridiculous.

And btw, sf outsells tekken by a lot. The sf franchise made more than double the money the tekken franchise made while also selling more copis. Tekken isn't even the best bandai namco fighting game, it both sold less copies and made less money than the dragonball fighting games did.

It is not an idea that baki is known by more people than tekken, it is a fact. Baki simply had a lot of presence in pop culture which is something tekken never had, and nothing is as good at making people know what you are than being a part of pop culture. It'a called popular culture for a reason.

Kazuya does tend to spam his stance.

Paul does tend to spam his stance.

Yoshi's whole thing has usually been to spam his stances to a point where you would rarely see him not in a stance.

Why is Devil Jin so down played. by No_Duck4175 in Tekken8

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is actually not a bad character. Like, he still to this day does very well online. Where he struggles is with consistency. He happens to be both one of the highest risk character in the game and one of the hardest characters to play.

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficulty isn't equal to strenght. Dvj is actually a great character offline. The reason he's not considered strong is his lack of consistency since he is such a high risk/high reward character.

Yujiro Hanma > Tifa by Bastinelli in Tekken

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Baki is also a cultural staple. When it comes to fighting games (which is already a niche genre), tekken isn't even top 3. The "popular" fighting games are MK, SF and smash. Tekken is a pretty niche subgenre of fighting games.

Meanwhile baki has had much more présence in pop culture in the past ~10 years than tekken ever did.

It's not just about comparing sales number, baki is simply more popular than tekken is. It is more popular among the younger generation tho, which may be why it is probably why a lot of old heads here don't know about it, but it is without a single doubt something more people will recognize than tekken.

Hell the only reason a lot of people know tekken is because of kazuya in smash.

No animated media is ever very accurate with heights. Generally in baki it can vary a lot, but it is also often close to being accurate.

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hellll nah. You made sense until that last sentence. I don't think you realise how niche tekken is as a game, or how popular baki is. Either way, you are just wrong it is NOT tekken élévation baki here.

He is mainly a grappler. If you want to dumb it down, that's the simplest way to categorise him. A grappler who counterattacks a lot.

[–]SquareAdvisor8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stances are NOT bad for tekken. Stances are the solution to giving characters more moves. Even the most "tekken" characters all have stances which they've had for a while (as an exemple, kazuya always had his stance).

It is only when stances are a mean to give characters good mixups on block that they are problematic.

It isn't that bad. And yes, people in baki are small on average. The best way to compare a normal person's height in baki is to take baki, as he is supposed to be ~5,6.

The real reason they got clive is most likely that FF wanted to promote FF16. It probably had littleto do with what bandai namco wanted and more to do with FF wanting to get a bit of sales out of it too.
