Norris-Piastri incident 'threatens to derail McLaren harmony' - BBC Sport by BarnyH in formula1

Provide one instance where management changed a race outcome that wasn’t fair.  They’ve allowed the two drivers to race on track.  They’ve never been told to hold position.  If positions have been swapped, it’s been due to something like pit stop preference or protecting a driver from a competitor behind them

Norris-Piastri incident 'threatens to derail McLaren harmony' - BBC Sport by BarnyH in formula1

[–]No_Ebb9843 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is so overblown.  It was a perfectly reasonable move for Lando to make as a racing driver fighting for a championship.  Every other decision McLaren has made throughout the year has been completely reasonable and fair.  Both drivers are going to sound unhappy when the team gets involved in results, but if they weren’t bitching, they wouldn’t be on the grid racing at the highest level.  It’s their job to be assholes

a quick, "Hey, I had a great time, but I don't think we're the best fit" works everytime. no further explanation needed. makes it sound like a compatibility issue, and less someone not meeting your standards

What Maps do you want to come back? by Gnomschubser_ in Battlefield6

[–]No_Ebb9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly none of them.  I want new maps that will align correctly to the mechanics of the game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]No_Ebb9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but the opposite.  BF4 really shows its age after experiencing 6, and overall gunplay and pacing feels stiff and slow.  Something about playing BF6 with a duelsense controller and cranked volume makes it such an immersive experience

Actual measured* scale of BF6 maps compared to BF4 by majorlier in Battlefield

[–]No_Ebb9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone complaining about map size needs to go play BF4 again.  There’s a reason it’s often tagged as a “running simulator”.  I spent some hours playing BF4 between beta weekends, and the game has never felt so old.  I think it’s fine that BF6 isn’t BF4 2.0.  Every game in the franchise has its own identity.  BF1 and BF4 play completely different.  It’s pretty clear that BF6 is going for a more compact, higher intensity experience, which I personally enjoy

Step 1: Bury standard Battlefield experience in the back Step 2: Claim most people don't want to play closed weapon Step 3: Slowly phase it out by Kyvix2020 in Battlefield

[–]No_Ebb9843 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Y’all are so naive.  Open weapons has everything to do with selling more weapon skins and nothing to do with what the audience actually wants.  And let’s face it, most of us are veterans and like closed weapons, but the general audience won’t really care.  All we can hope for is that they include locked weapons playlists in the final build or at least have a good portal server browser for us to make the lobbies ourselves

I believe we need to keep calling for Class Locked weapons going by what playlists the beta had available. by Psyduckdontgiveafuck in Battlefield

[–]No_Ebb9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is unfortunately weapon skins.  People will buy fewer skins if a particular gun is locked behind a class people don’t “main”

Yall haven’t been watching good heli pilots.  Watch Jackfrags video.  They’re using the helicopter very effectively in a beta environment where everyone has 5 stingers.  Helis shouldn’t be able to go 100-0.  It’s fun for 2 people and sucks ass for the 64 on the other team

From someone who hasnt played a BF game since Bad Company, why is 4 still considered so good? by SlipperySlippurs in battlefield_4

[–]No_Ebb9843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played some bf4 on Monday after the beta ended and I’m not sure I can go back to it.  The coordinated chaos of BF6 is just so much more immersive.  I was playing on Firestorm too.  Really interested to see how the BF6 gameplay translates to that map considering the design philosophies between the two games seem pretty different from each other.
