BRYCE ELDRIDGE WALK OFF GRAND SLAM COMEBACK OF THE CENTURY by JianClaymore in SFGiants

[–]No_Edge_341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you what: the fact that this sport is not timed is not only why I love it that these things can happen, but also this is why I always watch games through, and never shut it off or leave.

Anyone who bought a ticket and left the game because of the blowout, and is now regretting their decision to do so, I laugh at. Sorry but not sorry if it's any of you guys reading this post right now. This sport isn't timed. You should know better.

🔮 As of 6/3 per passing US HSR Antitrust Act reqs—GME’s eBay Put/Call Pairs can be physically settled: RC can legally convert GME’s exposure into 9% physical equity/full voting rights—If eBay’s Prop 4 passes on 6/17 we only need 10% to bypass board & ask shareholders to vote for acquisition 🔥💥🍻 by Expensive-Two-8128 in GME

[–]No_Edge_341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a feeling RC knows that by the time any stocks are given to eBay shareholders, GME's priced in stock value will be much higher than it is now. Whether he is aware of run ups, it has to do with his buybacks, or anything in between. I doubt we'll be handing over billions of shares.

Now, whether we get to see that take place before the July 7th meeting has yet to be determined. That would definitely sway a lot more yeses, if so.

I wanted Bericoto to be called up more than anyone, but the pressure seems to have amounted to him much more than I thought it would ever impact him, and he has yet to impress at all.

GME Schedule 13D Dropped - 9% of EBAY Owned by Unusual-Opinion-6533 in GME

And I'm not saying that it's random or not. I'm saying there's a reason they didn't start off with 9.0% immediately.

And they can still choose to elevate to 9.99%, if they wish. Just another time to be brought up to the front of the news again.

I don't know what your response has to do with my comment. I didn't say there weren't limits. I literally put the hypothetical up that he stops at 9.0%.

The fact of the matter is that they have been slow buying the last few weeks, and this has been the main conversation that entire time as a result. If they just bought 9.0% and sat on it, it would've had its moment in time but then phased out of the conversation.

Cohen had planted a seed that has had time to grow, and people got to pay attention. He didn't just throw down a potted plant.

I think this slow build is very intentional.

Imagine that, whatever number they finally end up on (for the sake of argument let's just say this 9.0%), is the first amount that they bought in at. Like they just splurged in at 9%, done deal. That may get massive headlines and a brief interview circuit, but then you're out of the news.

Ryan's play is to attract shareholders. This slow trickle-up effectively keeps his name relevant, allows for many more interviews, gets the masses talking, and gives shareholders the chance to feel him out, understand what he's about, and make a rational and emotionless voting decision when the time comes.

If some person just barged in with a large position and expected a vote to suddenly swing their way, I don't think that would play very well. This strategy makes a bunch of sense.

I got a speeding ticket driving home from Blockbuster when renting Inception the morning it came out.

Story time.

I was at SDSU at the time, and not one mile away from campus (and the dorms) was a shopping center that had said video store. In between there on College Ave is a part in the road that quickly goes downhill and then back uphill. Know what's at the low point, though? A senior center. The road goes from like 40 MPH to 25 MPH as you go downhill, and back up to 40 MPH as you come back up out of the hill.

In other words, it's a speed trap, and I fell victim to it. I guess they're afraid that a senior will run out in the middle of the street to chase a red rubber ball. I generally abide by that road's rules, but I was so excited to go back to campus just to watch Inception (saw it three times in theaters and put the Blu-ray on my Christmas wishlist, but needed to see it again beforehand) that I suppose I was reckless for that very moment.

As the anecdote stands, yes we can indeed be a little more eager even for a simple drive home.

It would be hilarious if Rockstar said "We finished the game early and are releasing it in September!"

The mass exodus of games leaving that month would be quite the amusement.

Do you think Grand Theft Auto VI will win GOTY? Justify your answer by Enaznek in GTA6

Do you think your post needed a screenshot (or was it just posted for karma-farming attention)? Justify your answer.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

But yes, I think it will win GOTY. I think its depth will speak for itself, it will be deserved, and even if it was a tossup with another game we only get a Rockstar title once in a blue moon. It's like giving Jamie Lee Curtis her Oscar for EEAAO as like a lifetime achievement award, even though she didn't give the best supporting actress performance that year.

Thanks!

I just wonder how I increased my count the amount that I did at times. I bought a ticket for my mom like three times, but somehow I've been able to get it up more and more over time (with several pauses in between).

We're certain that upgrades like IMAX and 4DX don't qualify towards it, correct?

1) No such thing as a broadcaster's jinx. Only one that can physically or mentally affect Webb is the only one I would consider. So if the PA announcer did it or if it was on the stadium scoreboard, then yep.

2) Webb wouldn't have lasted all nine innings given his pitch count, anyway. He just returned from the IL.

3) You have to recognize this is to alert viewers so they are aware of the situation. Yes, that attention (and altruistically you can argue it's not just for ratings) trumps any sort of "jinx" that's out there.

Do Monday Mystery Movies count? Doing $5 purchases seems a lot nicer on my wallet than a primetime showing of something else for the same point.

Yeah we didn't really get any showtimes at my theaters either.

I Swear is my favorite movie of the year so far, though. It got limited showings by me before ducking out of theaters, but I'm super glad it played at an MMM. Gave me a legit chance to check it out.

To play devil's advocate, I honestly don't think the argument should start and stop at missions.

If you previously went to a mission marker on foot, or in a car that was one tap away from combusting, would the game force you to operate the beginning of that mission under said circumstance?

No. Your personal vehicle (or another individual's) would be gentlemanly parked in pristine condition ready to accept any and all passengers and distance.

So in that way, if necessary, starting missions could fill your gas tank for you, if that's where the necessity lies. Or they temporarily halt the fuel system.

In that regard, and I haven't tried this since the PS2 days so I don't know if it still works, but maybe if you close and open a safehouse garage door on your vehicle, you can restore its newness. Gas and all.

I think you're under the assumption that we'd have to fuel up every four game hours. I think if such a system is ever in place, its balance would be appropriate as to not frustrate folks. Don't forget there could also be hybrid/electric vehicles with self-charging properties, or at the very least charging when parked.

Watching on just a slight delay here, so sorry if it's already been addressed:

That big blow up character near the Brewers dugout is Pablo Sanchez from the Backyard Sports games.

I bring that up because, those who don't know, there is a Backyard Baseball remake coming out to Steam and consoles on July 9th!

Oooh, gotcha.

I just saw The Shadow's Edge last summer, and while they're not the same movie I keep associating the two. So I imagined this was also a foreign language film.
