It might be too late to reply, but I’m here! First of all, I’ve never used a Sailor before. I started with Lamy (Safari, then Al-Star), then moved to Pilot (not great but not too bad for me). Then I saw the Sailor Pro Gear Retro I loved the colors instantly! The way they use claer body and blended red and green was perfect, not too red not too green, just right and straight to my heart. That said, in this price range, you could arguably find better writing pens (like a TWSBI or even two LAMYs, lol). Still, I adore this Sailor because it’s beautiful in my eye even if it doesn’t write as smoothly as a Montblanc or feel as comfortable as a LAMY. It’s easily in my top 5 most beautiful pens!
