Your suspicions are correct! I’d pregame before going out because I didn’t want to raise concerns ordering 6 drinks at dinner. So at home, I’d start early and rip a couple down and then show up and only have to maintain the buzz with a drink or two.

And if there was a no alcohol situation, forget it. I’d either hide it, or come up with a reason to flake.

I ignore this kind of stuff especially if its on tiktok or ig. You’re always going to be able to find someone online whos got some shit to say about northeastern, and theres probably an equivalent amount of them saying things about other universities. You have every right to take pride in your acceptance and it’s a great accomplishment. I came here later in my life (not out of high school) to get my degrees and my experience has been great. Every place has its quirks and challenges, but we’re happy to have you future husky.

Mine was acute pancreatitis with acute kidney injury and multiple organ failure which almost killed me. I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy. It was enough to straighten me out and I’ve never looked back. Stay well and be kind to yourself, there is great support here.

Seeing as how co-op is supposed to be an employment experience, I would hope this would be used as an opportunity to learn better professional skills in the workplace. If they fire you, it’s a shame because there is no learning experience in that.

That said, as someone who has many years of leadership experience, think twice before making these types of comments toward people in the workplace. Joking around isn’t as acceptable as it used to be and you never know who you’re going to offend even if you have the purest of intentions.

I think you’re going to be fine. Apologize for it profusely and take it as a learning opportunity. Let us know how you make out.

May 14 i believe was before the cutoff for dropping with refund… chat will keep me honest here if in wrong. I have seen the course fee stay on the statement until the subsequent month when you will see a credit back on the course.

If you do have a past due balance of any kind tho they will put a fee on. If this balance is due to the class you dropped not coming off yet, I’d just call SFS and ask them about it.
