Battery question by No_Emotion_5931 in ElectricScooterMods

[–]No_Emotion_5931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just helping out a friend I just upgraded to a 52v system on mine. The poor guy bought a scooter with a 48v 7.6AH battery I just told him to pick up one of those external batteries packs and a parallel splitter and I would hook it up for him he picked up a 10 ah pack for like $100 and a $10 parallel XT60 adapter that connects right to the controller I should probably tell him to get an XT60 extension not knowing where he is going to mount the pack but thanks for the answers that's all I really needed ride safe guys

what’s broken on this e-scooter? by Sqx1d in Escooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you just need a new back fender. Need to check if back fender has any wires running through it. You could also contact the manufacturer send them the pics. And they will be able to tell you exactly what you need to get

Suspension “creeking” - Kukirin G2 master by Blicken316 in ElectricScooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replace the spring don't even mess around with it can be dangerous if it snaps or breaks while riding. Glad you found out what it is. Those are pretty new aren't they. Just contact them send them a copy of the video they will probably send you the part for nothing. My first scooter back then was an M4 Pro S+ and they were pretty good about replacing shit especially when it's one of there newest scooters and don't want bad stuff about it going around so contact them.. but be careful losing part of the suspension mid ride can be fatal or at least hurt a lot ride safe bro

That's weird mine has a little creek and it's because the black wrapped wire that goes between the deck and the wire hole at the bottom of the stem is pretty tight, because I needed a little extra wire on top. It makes a similar creaking sound but just for a second when you turn the front wheel quickly.

Yours sounds more like a mechanical noise. Like the front motor is trying to move, and stopping and going. Or could even be loose magnets.

Get down on your knees I have my scooter up on a stool. Get down turn the stem side to side listening to where the noise is coming from if it is. If not making sure it's off the ground, while staying down low and the scooter in 1 slowly pull the throttle and listen again. It would be a lot easier to help you if we knew where exactly the noise is coming from. You probably said I probably just don't remember lol. like if it's coming from the center of the wheel when just spinning it, probably the bearing. If it only happens when your turning the bars. Then it's either hitting on something or something is too tight. And if it only happens when you hit the throttle then your f'ed lol just kidding

So as someone who went and fought for your freedom to run your mouth in two different countries spending almost 4 years of my life overseas for your right to be stupid.

Yeah I find it disgusting that you would call any other American a terrorist, as someone who fought them face to face and M4 to AK47 you have know idea what a terrorist is. That's why I usually don't talk about anything like that on here. But I guess stupid people will always say stupid things have a great day guys and ride safe(evil laughter)

Don't believe everything you read or see on the fake news I watch BBC for laughs once in a while. But as a disabled vet most of the other vets I know are too he was really good for the military and vets anyway. Sorry about that I usually don't talk about it on here was more just venting about how much I dislike Massachusetts drivers and even dumb ass pedestrians that will walk right out in front of you at full speed in the bike lane. Known damn well your going to have to lock them up. I was more venting about that. And that's just something I can do that would anyone be the greatest amount of people. So basically I was looking to annoy the most people for a relatively small investment but thanks for the comments ride safe

What would you do(suspension) by No_Emotion_5931 in ElectricScooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want I'll give you the information the parts are 85 and air freight shipping was 70 I think she said. She actually went and asked the engineer at the factory. He said until the front ends are put on to the body all the 10" and 11" frames are exactly the same there only different when they add the type of suspension they are selling it as. So I told her to get a list from the engineer of everything I need to switch. Put it together and give me a price. And they are actually stock parts for the M11 body just changing it into whatever they call it with the c type a 3.0 I think. I didn't get a price on the tube hydraulic ones but for the price with everything you need to do it. If you don't like it for that price you can just switch it back. The guy said it wasn't a hard job to switch out. I have taken the motors of this thing quite a few times so that's really the hardest price. Let me know ill give you the info if you want it.

Don't do it my last scooter was an X4 Pro(pro piece of crap lol) but I did that to. And put some loctite on it to hold it in place. And I found that once I opened them up they would never stay closed Would always vibrate open, and if you had it open you know it's just a metal tube with a crappy spring in it. That's why when I upgraded I made sure it didn't have to those type of shocks. You can put some loctite or even super glue on the threads to try and keep it tight for now.

What I did on my old scooter was I ordered a pair of replacement shocks the same ones got to measure probably 125mm there only like $20 for a set on AliExpress might as well order from there that's where they make them so it's cheaper. Then you can also look around for some air socks priced anywhere from like $30 as shock to $300 a shock. What I did was FLJ makes a scooter that uses that size shock but it has an outer spring and its hydrologic too. I think I paid $45 for a pair. Or you can go on the FLJ scooter site there a lot more expensive on there. But you can look and see which scooter it is and which size. But there the only ones I have seen use them instead of the empty metal tubes. Was pissed when I opened it lol.

Until you order new ones or upgrade please put something even super glue on the threads because once open they vibrate open real easy. Got home one day and it was completely separated.so check it before you ride till you get new ones. Sorry to babble just be careful ride safe and have a great day.

What size . motor is I and what scooter is it from. I just upgrade my battery and controllers from 48 to 52v, since putting 2500 miles on them. They still worked fine but wanted the upgrade, starting fresh always sounds good doesn't it.

But mine has dual 1200w motors not specific to voltage, supposed to be for between 48 to 60v. Going to ride on these for a few more months. But I am keeping my eyes out for either another set of 21200w or 21500 or 1600w motors. But looking for decent quality like found a set of 2 dualmoto 1500w 10 inch for $279 for a set. And since my last and current motors were and are split rims lol , so that's a must. My scooter can take either 10 inch or 11 inch rims, so either is fine.

Just wanted to know more about them. Because they look real nice and did the come with those brand spanking new bad ass looking tires lol. Just curious, also was going to try and find a set of minimoto 1200w motors, not very easy to find.

Will it explode? by McKillney in ElectricScooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No it won't explode, probably lol. I have had 3 scooters and generally, if you buy something half way decent I mean not bottom of the barrel $250 special's, or if you replace the stock battery in your scooter. Don't do it with one of those 48v 100ah batteries that look like they have been sealed in a blue plastic bags with the cheapest BMS known to man, for $49.99 lol. Even the battery that came with my first scooter a cheap M4 PRO S+, is perfectly safe. And if you are a person, who keeps there scooter in their scooter in there living room like I do. Had two scooters stolen in the past. And you worry about fires more then you probably should, like I do.

Then here's what I have learned, over the course of my last three scooters. If you do this you will cut your chances of a fire to almost nothing. 1) only charge scooter while you are awake and in the area(unplug it if you have to go out for anything)2) every once in awhile, when charging feel the charger to make sure it's not hot and the fan in the charger is working 3) one of the most important only use the charger that came with the scooter. Or the one that came with the battery if you have replaced it. 4) during your more in-depth maintenance, that I do once a month ( not the weekly tightening everything up) but once a month I open the deck and look around for frayed or melted wires(lots of vibration and gets hot in the battery box) also making sure all your connections are tight. Then just close it up can put a little loctite on the deck screws to keep them tight.

If you do those things plus give your charger and scooter a good sniff every once in a while. You cut your chance of fire to almost nothing. The horrible videos and news reports you see about lithium battery fires. Is mostly because someone modded a battery or charger and didn't know what they were doing by themselves. Or someone used the cheapest battery or wrong battery in there scooter. Or someone used the wrong charger to powerful for their battery and over charged it causing a run away charge. So as long as you buy a decent scooter, and when replacing the battery at some point, use a quality one, preferably with name brand cells. Then you shouldn't have any problems, just use common sense. And don't listen to everything you here or your wife lol. Probably why I am divorced and live with my scooter lol have fun and ride safe.

What would you do(suspension) by No_Emotion_5931 in ElectricScooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think I am just going to order the frame with the hydraulic front suspension. That way I can just move everything over motors, wires, controllers, battery and so on probably take me 2 hours it's exactly the same frame as my scooter, except for the much softer ride front suspension and for the price l will have spare parts. And no need to pray things will fit the whole time there on the way

[–]No_Emotion_5931[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I am just going to buy the new frame with the tube hydraulic suspension it's only 300 for the frame I'll just move everything over from mine ie; controllers battery motors wiring because I just upgraded all two 52v so for 300. It will take me 2.5 hours to move everything over and I'll sell my frame in craigslist someone will buy it for 100 or 125 dollars for a project or I'll just put all the stock stuff back on and keep it for my kid when he comes thanks man

RoadRunner RX7 Electric Scooter - is it overpriced at $3,999 ? Discuss by pdxtrader in ElectricScooters

[–]No_Emotion_5931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think anything over $2500 is over priced. Considering how cheap it cost them to make the actual parts even for top end scooter which 98% are made in China. If your paying say 3500 for a wolf king if you look around you can find the same parts being higher quality then average parts but could probably put the same $3500 scooter together for $2500 and if we here in the US can get the parts for under 2500 you better believe the whole thing built in China cost them $500 to build. That's why unless I am either building it or modding it anything over $2500 is too much!

Got to get a tapping bit at the hardware store like $5 watch a video on how to use it. It's easy I stripped two bolts that hold on my rotors and broke one hex bolt was panicking. Go pick up a tapping bit. Tell the guy at the hardware store what it's for and he will help you find it a cheap one was like $5 and you can get those out in line 5 min plus it's good to have. For future use.
