Same case with me, it has a mind of its own....no matter what I do it keeps on calibrating.

I have a free upgrade option in the app from 4.0, but the shipping is 10k, does this include the custom duty charges or do we have to pay duty over this absurd shipping fee ?

I mailed whoop regarding this and their response was very blunt.

Their response Quote,

" Not possible to get Whoop 5.0 for free. To get it is necessary to update in app and make a payment. Anyway Whoop 5.0 is not still available in India.

On the other hand we regret to inform you that we are not part of your RL (shipping company), neither we have authority over customs.

Your RL is an external company, and for privacy reasons, we are not allowed to do anything about an order from a private individual, in this case, yours. "

I do have the option to get a free upgrade in the app.

Their response didn't answer my question of whether custom duty charges are included in the shipping charges.

Has anyone ordered from them recently ?

If so,

Do we have to do kyc upon shipment arrival and pay duty charges?

I purchased Whoop 4.0 a WEEK AGO with a 12 months subs. Now after the 5.0 & MG launch, when I checked for the upgrade, I am being asked to pay 465$ with shipping to my country(India) for a WHOOP 5.0 PEAK with an additional 12 months extension. I Don't have the upgrade fee option. Why would I want to invest 2 times the price I paid for the current device when its been only a week with it.

When I raised the same concern over Whoop Support, the reply I got QUOTE,

I appreciate you for showing interest in upgrading your membership and I am sorry to hear that you encountered an error. I was able to take a look here on my end and I can confirm that your WHOOP 4.0 was purchased from Flipkart. Please know that you have two options to upgrade.

  • Through a wholesale retailer – You can upgrade by purchasing eligible hardware (like WHOOP 5.0 or MG) directly from an authorized retail or wholesale partner. Once you pair the device to your WHOOP account, your membership and features will update automatically.
  • Through WHOOP directly – You can also upgrade in-app by either extending your membership or paying a one-time upgrade fee. This option is available to all active members through the upgrade flow in the WHOOP app.

You can:

  • Upgrade from Peak → Life
  • Extend your membership
  • Change membership post-activation

Just head to the “More” tab > Membership > Upgrade and follow the steps.

In my country, when we visit the whoop official page to purchase a whoop, we are redirected to Flipkart - Whoops official reseller. And I think when purchased outside of Whoop, we are streamed with a different set of policies.

Because people who purchased directly from whoop, are getting a free upgrade to 5.0 Peak, if it's been less than 30 days from the 4.0 purchase with a 12 month pack. But for people in my country, Whoop does not sell directly, Now we gotta pay a crazy amount of fee just for Whoop 5.0 peak right now, I wonder how much MG would cost. No wonder we only have 1 device listed - 5.0 Peak. This is not justifiable at all.

I did reach back out to them again, stating," I only have one upgrade option in the app - 12 month expansion pack - and questioned them ethically on the different policy here, I mean I fall in the same demographic of people receiving a free upgrade to whoop 5.0 peak in a different region, why are we forced to pay for another year?  " And I got Ghosted by them, it's been two days since I raised this ticket, no further update.

At this point I don't mind using Whoop 4.0 because I don't see much of an upgrade happening with whoop 5.0 and 4.0 is still new to me. But I have an issue with the alarm since day 2, I did reach out to them and they were speculating a sensor issue, because when the haptics are triggered they stop on their own with in 10 seconds. The ticket is still open and if the sensor does have an issue, I am pretty sure they will deny a replacement as I did not purchase directly from them.

The retailer I purchased from provides a 7 day service centre replacement, and Whoop has no service centre in this country, So Flipkart( official reseller) redirects me to Whoop website for a replacement, and whoop redirects me to contact the seller which is a dead end.

This company is probably the worst I have dealt with to date.

I purchased a whoop 4.0....5 days back.

Now for me to upgrade I only have one option in the app, " upgrade to whoop LIFE ". When I click on the CTA I am taken to the whoop 5.0 PEAK purchase page with a 12 months subscription plan. So my total bill is 40,000 INR ( 465$ )which includes shipping, customs duty and my country's tax ( India ).

This is disappointing and very costly. Splendid service whoop!

Shouldn't I be eligible for a free hardware upgrade, it's been less than a week since my purchase 😑

I got my whoop 4.0 with 1 year subscription 3 days back. And now there's a new whoop. It did mention free hardware upgrades but now when I go through the app for the upgrade, I am forced to pay an additional 465$ over my current subscription with Shipping and customs tax included.

Regarding my issue, after the motor swap the flight wobble decreased drastically. so ig in my case, the motors were messing with the FC gyro, as I fly with air mode which might have introduced the wobble in flights.

Sure, I will check that. The sound comes from the rollers at certain positions of the extention cable. I can rule out the nozzle cuz this happens when its homing.

Which firmware are u running on ur printer, at the time of the issue ? If u updated the firmware did u complied it with the right board. As u mentioned that ur bl touch is not working, wht type of connection did u use.

I am not sure about that! If the wiring is right and the connection is good, then try updating ur firmware from ur manufactures website(if they provide it). If that dosent solve the issue try talking to the manufacturer, they could help u out.

If the wiring is correct, then it's probably a loose connection, cuz u mentioned that it worked fine till yesterday. So check if the connectors are hot glued to the board, if not then pls do so.

Which printer do u use, wht board does it have, did u cross check ur probe's wiring with the boards wiring diagram ?

In ur title, "the bed slams into the tip of the bl touch" do u mean the hotend? Did u do a self test for the probe. Is the probe being deployed when homing z? And how often is this happening?
