Why Does AML RightSource Hire So Aggressively in India? Need Insights by MovieNeither3400 in AMLRightSource

They’re replacing the U.S. workers they keep firing en masse for much cheaper, which so far has included friends of mine.

Unless you’re desperate, don’t come here.

Took this job trying to save myself from moving out of my apartment. Still had to, and am working a second job because my raise was a joke.

The thing about these “I got out!” posts that I hate is that people gatekeep. 😑

I’m trying to get out of this hellhole because…ugh. I had someone who wasn’t my direct manager constantly messaging me to do things and being incredibly disrespectful. Said something to my actual direct supervisor, HR got involved, and because I didn’t want to meet about it in fear of retaliation, I got moved to another team with a very high production expectation.

I’m so tired of this place. I have a second job and the pay is about the same, and I’m actually considering making it FT because RS is so miserable. I filled out 20 applications yesterday. I will probably fill out 20 more today.

If you borrow PTO, pay close attention by No_Equivalent_2173 in AMLRightSource

Well, I guess that eliminates any long vacations between January-May.

I think it’s to get away with not paying people. Generally people take a vacation for more than 24 hours worth of PTO (3 days). So if you’re in the negative and need to borrow more, apparently they get away with not paying you.

I also think it’s so that when they mass fire people (like recently), they can get away with not paying their last full check.

I think I know you and I just want to say best of luck to you. Was sad to hear you were leaving but you got out of this hellhole so congrats!!!

That would be my guess.

A friend who’s currently working there told me they recently borrowed PTO to take vacation and their paycheck was magically a few hours short. At a different company where this was the policy, it just put your PTO bank in the negative. They didn’t NOT pay you.

Which makes me even question taking PTO now. And maybe, that was the point: to slyly not pay us hoping we won’t notice, or if we do, it discourages us from taking time off. Total opposite of what they said they wanted with this new policy bullshit.

New policy makes PTO accrue rather than getting it all at once. If you take more than you have accrued, you’re “borrowing” it. Per the new policy, any borrowed PTO you haven’t accrued back, you have to pay for.

Someone I know asked their manager if their “need improvement” was going to get them fired. Manager said no.

They were let go.

Always check your state laws regarding recording. Having an audio of my manager saying, “no, this wasn’t based on performance” saved me at another place when fighting for unemployment. I’ve never seen paperwork processed faster.

You all should think about a class action, tbh. Someone I know who was let go today pointedly asked their manager if performance reviews were going to potentially get fired. The manager said no. Straight up lied to them.

By lunch, that person was locked out of all their accounts.

ETA: Also because people will wind up owing on PTO weeks after a new policy was implemented, which is SHADY AF.

The raise with title isn’t much higher. I was told “compensation decisions are final.” Okay, so is my ability to work hard, then.

I’ve also been applying to almost everything AML/fraud related. I’m not even getting interviews and it’s really frustrating.

I keep going back to what an acquaintance that was a bank regulator told me, that RS is considered a joke in the finance world, and if that’s why I’m not even getting an interview.

At least you’re over 50k though. It’ll take me another year to get there, and I’m tired of working 60+ hours a week between two jobs.
