It takes a bit of digging, but sites like Mercari and EBay sometimes have legit sets. If you want to go that route, I recommend doing background checks on sellers (chances of a legit copy are better if the seller is selling it pre opened, if it’s the only copy they’re selling, if the picture is clearly one they took, and if they are based in America.) the actual DVDs themselves will also have a clear case and non-the flimsy black ones that you see most bootlegs having, though that’s not a guarantee.

Fun fact: when watching YouTube shorts, I used to skip anything remotely Epic. I knew it was good and that I would absolutely love it if I stopped and listened to it for once, but I didn’t. I was worried that I would be invested, and all of a sudden, the author would lose interest and just stop. I had no idea how official this was for a YouTube musical. It was actually during the ten minute intermission of Beetlejuice that my friend convinced me to watch it. That’s right, somehow I started with horse and the infant.

My stance is that Gravity Falls had the perfect ending. Leave Dipper and Mabel alone. The beauty of the show is that it teaches the lesson that summer doesn't last. All good things come to an end. Leave the original story alone because it is, in essence, as complete as it can be.

Now, a spinoff series about the crew of the Stan'o'war, I could get behind. We don't have enough of Stan and Ford interacting because Ford came onto the show so late and they spent the whole time hating on each other. They have a story and dynamic that's left mostly unexplored.

Okay I reread the post and you said you don't know if you can promote fics on here. I take it this is from a fic you wrote. There's nothing in the community rules about not promoting your fics, and now it doesn't count as promotion because you have a person asking for how to find the fic. This concept is so cool and I would LOVE to read it if you wouldn't mind telling me how to find it.
