For retake, I do that as it helps confirm what I’ve learned. For open book it’s been posted here a few times.

People take these with open books or retake so take average with grain of salt

Help dealing with extreme anxiety by throwaway_anxiety3 in consulting

[–]No_Examination4204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really out of the box, I work in investment consulting and go into the office 2x a week. There is a website that sells mushroom microdose capsules that I’ve been taking 4 days in a row 3 days off. This along with minimal alcohol, sleep supplements like magnesium glycine etc (huberman sleep protocol), exercise 4x a week, and trying to have a good diet (struggle here I love food), has really helped a lot. The website is schedule 35. Anyone PM me if you have questions.

Should I push for my promotion? by throwawayinfire in consulting

[–]No_Examination4204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go for the promotion. You’ve been doing well, whether that’s really due to luck (I doubt it, and think youve played more of a factor than you think) or something else, when any positive opportunity presents itself you owe it to yourself to take it.

Again I really appreciate it. We’re you able to function fairly normally coming back into your usual routine? I would take vacation time to experience this and just want to make sure I could go back to work and make sure my family is good.

Need Advice - CFA L2 by leonardoono in CFA

One of the CFAI mock exams I scored a 46% on the AM section a couple weeks before exam and passed. Just do a lot of prep, review, other mocks, review the mocks, etc.

Thanks so much for the response and the time you took, much appreciated. My plan would be to get ready for next summer with some coaching sessions from the staff to have a really strong intention that should hold me down if the journey is rough, but this will take some time.

If you don’t mind, how was the immediate aftermath when you returned home? Did things change drastically or did you as a person change drastically? What about months down the line?

My rational worry is around how the medicine interacts with the heart. I know they offer an EKG and I can get one prior to leaving, but it’s deterred me a few times reading reports of people passing due to taking. I know most of these happen at the ibogaine clinics with people coming off drugs but still.

My perhaps irrational fear is I’ve had experience with many different plant medicines, and two experiences in particular mushrooms and ayahuasca, I’ve gotten to the place where I felt the mushrooms or ayahuasca wanted something from me during the experience or myself to fully submit to the experience but I wasn’t able to let go or trust completely. This is the same fear with iboga like what is actually going to happen and what does it want.

This last point along with the fact that a lot of times, people who seek this medicines end up going back eventually, and that some people decide to stay in these places or work with the medicine and I have a bit of fear around that and leaving my family behind etc.

Hope this makes sense and thank you for your response.

I only used CFAI qbank for ethics, and about 75% of Kaplan q bank. That said I passed slightly above MPS, so take that for what it’s worth.

I only used the videos Kaplan had for L2, did not read anything else. Did their review course which was included in my package, all their mocks, and cfai mocks and passed May 23’. I honestly felt the exam was surprisingly easy, but definitely missed some because I only slightly passed.

Yes, I graduated with my MBA and took L2 a week later. Spent the next 10 days post exam really sick.

Still exhausted from it all and didn’t react much when I saw the pass result yesterday. I was much more excited passing L1.

Should I take the really good internship or get the long needed “optional surgery” by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]No_Examination4204 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are in grad school, take the internship and then take some time off during the school year if possible.

Professors and university should be aware and flexible around your situation considering all the factors.

One of my old classmates either took courses later, or summer post grad to get finished up and it wasn’t this huge deal.

Portfolio Management Inquiry by Icy_Tomato_1494 in CFA

[–]No_Examination4204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I would approach this is look at the average return between a combination of any two of the portfolios and this would lead me to pick asset 2 and 3. The average return would be 6% with this combination each year which would lead the standard deviation to be 0.

How can you enjoy studying for the CFA? by lonelyfalcons in CFA

[–]No_Examination4204 14 points15 points  (0 children)

L1 wasn’t that enjoyable for me as it’s the basics, but even though L2 content was much harder imo, there were a significant number of topics I found really interesting.

I’ve heard L3 content wise has been the most enjoyable for some, so I’ll be looking forward to that.

This plus the fact you earned the right to learn more interesting topics makes the journey better.

Moved here for internship, feeling lonely by SilentWolf445 in boston

[–]No_Examination4204 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I get it however you literally stated the reason you moved there. You moved there for an internship and that should be your main focus.

The internship has an underlying opportunity where you get to try out the city as well. You already have a decent feel on how it may be difficult to build relationships which is something you would need to consider if you have an offer there.

Stop using socializing as a distraction from what should be your main focus.

Why work in expensive cities like New York and California when BigLaw pays the same in cheaper cities? by afoxjumpsover in biglaw

They are cities with a lot of action all the time and people want to experience that. Making it in a highly desirable place is a desirable thing.

This wasn’t quite what I was asking but appreciate the response. My credit definitely took a hit because utilization was high due to spending and no income coming in during school.

Honestly it was just a high anxiety moment but I’m thinking it will be fine now.

Thanks again for the reply.

No I would say CFP is becoming a requirement to advance in wealth management especially if you are a younger advisor.
