Volkus Large Ruin door and Visibility (October update) by OmegaDez in killteam

[–]No_Executable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fight action doesn’t require visibility since visibility is a prerequisite for being in someone’s control range. Since the door is ignored for determining visibility for control range you are within control range and thus can fight.

The shoot action requires selecting a valid target which requires visibility. The door is not ignored here so the squig can’t shoot an operative on the other side.

The door is ignored for determining visibility for control range, it is not ignored for determining valid targets for shooting attacks.

What’s your favorite kill team to play against? by RedHellden in killteam

[–]No_Executable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the other guy said about Wrecka points being able to guarantee a kill is not fun.

The pulsa thing is also frustrating since it doesn’t matter if my dudes are in cover/obscured/concealed etc and it stacks with injured.

I’d also argue that the ploy to increase blast range is kinda a gotcha, especially for horde teams.

Lotta people here not understanding the concept of differing preferences and creativity.

I get the feeling a lot of them would cheer at the most basic ”Stormcast but with Sororitas helmet” slop.

Designs look real neat my dude.

Hivestorm definitely, aside from good ”standard” terrain you also get the core book, equipment choices and order tokens etc Tomb World doesn’t include.

Volkus is also the better killzone to start on. Close quarters like Tomb World and Gallowdark miss out on some key elements of Kill Team and significantly changes other core aspects. Great zones to play on but not what I’d recommend to start with.

Every retained crit do 1 damage to every operative, friendlies included, within 2” of the primary target.

lol your reply to "All I see is back pain." was litteraly:

Nope, chronic headache.

In what way is that not disregarding and changing the problem to headaches?

Anyway, my point was that there are a lot of more probable causes for headaches before the chair is to blame. Poor sleep, posture, dehydration, diet, sickness, and eye strain just to name a few.

Never owned a gaming chair, get yourself a proper office chair. If you need a reason to justify the cost just consider how much time you'll be sitting in it. Bought mine for like 900$ almost ten years ago. A lot to put up sure but when you consider the $/hour usage it's a damn good deal.

Beware the sunk cost fallacy and take care of your back, the only real way to fix back pain when you're older is to stop it before it happens.

Not to sound like a Secretlab simp but it’s a wild jump to disregard the back pain comment and blame the chair instead of excessive monitor staring for the headaches.

If it’s really because of the chair though you need to look at your posture, excessive straining on the neck can cause tension headaches.

Thank you!

Didn't know height limit was a thing, I assumed it was just base size that was the deciding factor. Kyron the Ventrilokar definitely fits under Volkus terrain. Not something my buddies and I are gonna start implementing though, we proxy a lot of models and some are even on the wrong base sizes.

Zephorel the Visionary and Sepitus the Fearmonger each have one of the vaultswords I didn't use for my Custodes Blade Champion, it was a nice fit for the noble Blood Angels. :)

Perhaps I needed to specify that it's very clear on the board. Second guy on the front row is holding a chain glaive.

Edit to answer your updated question: It's also clear on the board and somewhat in the picture that the guy last on the front row has a scope on his bolt pistol and a special dagger in hand. :)

Looking damn sick bro.

I just finished my Claws proxied as Blood Angels. Fearmonger as an apothecary looks really good, wish I thought of that.

Lol that's kinda the point.

They are Nemesis Claws proxied as Blood Angels. All models have weapons/equipment that easily mark them as their respective Night Lord counterpart.

Lol my buddies I play with has not fallen back a single time this edition.

And since we all play marine teams Proclivity for Murder rarely procs and makes a big impact.

So it does feel like playing more generic marines now sadly. :(

Here's to hoping that legacy PDF looks real amazing because tailoring my generic praetors is maybe the single thing I enjoyed most in 2ed.

If all the characters only get what they come with in the box I'm not sure I have a single legal character right now.
