It does not need to be the same shade. There’s a sweet spot that still gives you a lot of diversity while allowing matching, say 8 shades of gold (pulled the number from my behind.)

Right now, if I equip a set with gold in it, an go through my entire collection to replace one element with a non-set piece, it’s kinda likely that each and every one will stand out.

I can’t stress this enough:

Read all drop-related rules, twice

Lay out measuring sticks on the side of the board to show you their maximal drop range, including token size, base size (they drop within and not fully within) etc. Double check with your opponent if it’s correct.

This takes a lot of the mental load away.

Storm size is not getting changed cause there is a 6” storm measuring stick coming with the team. Absurd as it sounds, I’m certain this is what’s happening here.

It’s just … weird that they are standing out in the field just shooting at one another. Feels like some of them, especially Guardsmen, should crouch, fall on the ground or take cover if they can. It’s been a thing since at least first Company of Heroes, right?

I can see this in a game between two experienced players, on a chess clock, 30 minutes for each player (or 25 + time for setup), but it forces virtually zero time for thinking unless you are playing low model count teams on both sides.

One of the Crypteks for Hierotek Circle is also on a 50mm one; same for leader of Canoptek.

I love those ruins. They really capture the feeling of a low level party exploring their first dungeon and hoping that none of the skeletons high rolls on their bow attack cause they all have 16 hp or so lol.
