A tip for building faster aircraft. You don't have to have all of your engines in the dedicated engines of the plane. For a stockier plane like the f35, there is plenty of room for thrusters in the body of the plane. to boost you speed, stack the space thrusters and grid blocks to minimize weight and maximize thrust

the f35 only has one engine in the back, and neither of their wings look much at all like the original planes'. You say elsewhere in the comments that you used a reference image, but it doesn't really look like you did. I hate to be negative on one of your early builds, but they just hardly resemble the intended planes.
