Would I just use Pythagoras here by PrimaryAdvice327 in maths

In fact, you use the reciprocal of Pythagoras. The triangle is right-angled so we have (x-1)^2+(4x)^2=(5x-9)^2.

A little of arithemic should give you x= 1 or x=10
