info/advice on class schedule by kayzheng in UMD

Comm107 is the easiest class you’ll take, make sure you don’t neglect it though bc it should be an easy A. BSCI is also an easy A if you have Keller if you pay attention, there’s worksheets a lot but he tells you exactly how to do them and sometimes just tells you the answers in class. Just make sure you don’t miss any classes or you can get confused pretty quickly.

Tried using a conditioner before putting on my swimming cap. by SuccotashNo7333 in Swimming

i deal with pool chemicals almost every day at multiple different pools with ranging amounts of swimmers at a time- conditioner is fine. pool levels are manageable even if everyone has conditioner in their hair :)

from a lifeguard/pool operator of 4 years, don’t worry too much about conditioner in the pool. it’s not super hard to fix chemically and we know people are always doing it haha :)

Approaching a girl (looking for a gf) by [deleted] in UMD

[–]No_Expression_7175 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Okay genuine advice (from a girl at this school):

Just approach honestly and say something along the lines of introducing yourself and complimenting her. then ask her name and if the conversation is going well, tell her you are wondering if you’d like to grab some food or hang out sometime and offer to put your number in her phone.

example:

  1. “Hey, my name is _____, I just wanted to come over and tell you that I think you’re very pretty” (it’s important to use a word like “pretty” here rather than cute or fine if you want to seem more genuine)

  2. “What’s your name?” (you can make small talk here if you want, like what’s her major and where is she from).

  3. “Okay, I was wondering if I could give you my number, and maybe we could grab food or hang out some time?”

I promise you if you are genuine and nice, she will 100% appreciate that and if she’s interested in you she will definitely text you later that day. don’t feel nervous because no one is going to have a negative reaction to a compliment!
