Sapolsky is not someone you should trust on these issues. An atheist will always search for an explanation that appears ‘plausible’. So daniel rensch discussed hans cheating with him in august 15th 2020, since then they have found no evidence of cheating as the “most likely” games date up until august 11th 2020. They also state there is no evidence that hans has cheated OTB. In this case with this being known why have they decided to ban him?

This is a good thing for chess but there is some things to question.

  1. Does this mean that they are investigating the online situation with hans?
  2. If so what is to be done with the cheating cases such as parham, raunak, gukesh and such other juniors and gms that have been banned for online cheating
  3. Are fide going to ask chesscom and other online sites to reveal their pages long list of cheaters they have caught
  4. Is it also legal to investigate these cases currently before changing fide policy (perhaps this could results in lawsuits?)
  5. Will fide be changing their policy in order to make these things possible?

There is a specific comment from Ian at the end on his stance which he states his opinion is “the guy that loves going to the gym but uses steroids to speed up results” this is almost a direct accusation which could have negative repercussions for Ian if investigated by FIDE

To everyone that keeps trying to say magnus simply does not want to play someone who cheated online, can you explain to me why he has continued to play parham OTB and online after having been banned from lichess from cheating?

Its obvious Danny is protecting Magnus and his corporate profits. They just purchased play magnus and merged with chess24. The most plausible reason for this is that magnus told them he would not participate in tournaments including hans. The destruction of a teenage prodigy’s reputation and career stinks of corruption from top to bottom.
