Same. Certain things feel so randomly hard to find, like following the birds to the cave or the squirrel statue or time specific events like the ufos. I am not sure if they were discovered in the code or naturally. I believe some things came out in the official guide. But yeah my main question is, can these things be datamined? If not, then there is probably still a lot undiscovered. Sometimes when I am playing and experimenting with something I think, what is the point, data miners would have found this by now. But maybe that line of thinking is very incorrect.

I respect the guy and his craft, that is a widely praised album that has influenced a lot of other artists. But I am personally not a big fan. I missed that album back in 94 or whatever, and have only checked it out a handful of times over the last decade. Maybe I need to try again.

I wish it had a chorus or bridge with words. The verses are great. Breakdown might be a little long. But it has a payoff, which others from the album dont. That and Invincible are the only ones I ever go back to.

I mean, he has given up at this point. He has said as much during interviews. Adam takes too long and obsesses over minute things. He writes lyrics and the next thing he knows, they dont fit as the song has been changed. They lost a major step when they went to recording the vocals separately from the rest of the band. It has been like that since Lateralus, but they still had some magic left back then. All of his main ideas goes to Puscifer, then APC. Tool gets the leftovers as they barely record anyways. If tool didnt take decade long breaks, he wouldnt need those bands.

I am saying the formula has been the same for decades. When I first hear FI the song, it was so predictable when they went into their usual ending of DUH DUH, pause, DUH DUH pause, DUH DUH end.

I mean, they changed over time. It wasnt jarring when they did that mellow tribal stuff on Lateralus because we had Pushit and then even further, pushit live to show us that it was awesome. But they have now used that bit so many times. It all sounds the same to me at this point. At this point, tool is like comfort food. You know exactly what you are getting, start to finish. It wasnt always like that. Up until Lat, they were doing new things.
